Had had a bit of wine and watching his new documentary, just thinking how wonderful he is and wouldn’t mind a night with him at all.

He's not quite my type but I do think he's great
love his work
Have you seen his Scientology movie?

EvilDoctorBallerinaVampireDuck · 09/10/2017 13:15

I'm another Hmm. I'm more into the rugged type.

EvilDoctorBallerinaVampireDuck · 09/10/2017 13:16

He drinks in the pub near my DF.

reflexfaith · 09/10/2017 13:18

I wonder how long a thread entitled "to think Stacey Dooley (chosen as she makes documentary films) is just so fuckable" would last|?

AfunaMbatata · 09/10/2017 13:49

I’ll post that thread next week thelist, then we can find out!

To think Louis Theroux is just so fuckable?

Well Stacey is conventionally young, slim and pretty so that wouldn't be comparable as Louis is not what most people would think fits the 'sexy man' mould. He is nerdy, thin and bespectacled. Maybe dr Alice Roberts or Victoria Coren would be the female equivalent on dadsnet?

Fauchelevent · 09/10/2017 14:40

Haha he’s not for me but I just googled to make sure and saw an article about him “Louis Theroux’s harrowing drug addiction” well i NEVER i cannae believe... really? Louis Theroux has a drug addiction? Would never have expected. Then i scrolled down a bit more “...documentary” hahaha

MorrisZapp · 09/10/2017 14:41

If you google Victoria Coren breasts you'll see the good people at arrse.com have highlighted her body parts for you already, as have other sites aimed at men. Think The Sun came up too.

I'm not a fan of treating celebrity women as a collection of bumps and holes myself but I'm a pearl clutcher so feel free to disregard my joyless ways.

What about describing celebrity men (or women) as "fuckable" ?

MorrisZapp · 09/10/2017 14:55

I don't like that either, as I said upthread.

CoolCarrie · 09/10/2017 14:58

Simon Reeve is very hot, in a scruffy, lived in way.

misslomi · 09/10/2017 15:17

I LOVE Louis! So so fuckable.

Holz657 · 09/10/2017 15:22

Yes yes yes

MozzchopsThirty · 09/10/2017 15:25

Yes yes yes to Louis he is unbelievably sexy, I love his programmes, his interview technique, his deadpan face

No no no to Simon reeve looks like he’d be nagging you to use a mooncup and use tea bags twice

TheDogsMother · 09/10/2017 15:27

Sounds like it's only me then that thinks he is morphing into Jacob Rees Mogg Grin

Oysterbabe · 09/10/2017 15:33

Yes he absolutely is, I've thought so for years.

MrsTerryPratchett · 09/10/2017 15:36

Heroin(e) is brilliant I agree.

And @MorrisZapp although I broadly agree that objectifying people isn’t great and ‘fuckable’ isn’t language I’ve chosen, I do think there is a material difference. Women have been discriminated against for so long, their dehumanizing objectification has been part of a violent and threatening attempt to control and silence them and their objectification precludes any other discussion about them.

I think Louis is probably safe physically from us, he is being discussed in terms of his work rather than his body and I’m willing to bet that he is not the subject of repeated threatening harassment by hordes of women that silence him.

Not great but not the same.

Sudename · 09/10/2017 15:44

Louis is lovely. I also like Dr Michael Scott the ancient history professor

EachandEveryone · 09/10/2017 15:49

Is it ok to say shaggable?

Penny4UrThoughts · 09/10/2017 15:52

I agree with you Morris.

It's not about 'pearl clutching', it's about not being a part of the race to the bottom.

Just because women have been objectified for years, is it acceptable to do the same back? I'd argue that it could be in some instances - in order to make people think about their behaviour.

But that isn't what this is about.

I wonder how you would feel if that was your husband being discussed in this way, or your son. Or your daughter or your sister.

But hey, guys do it, so it's ok! Hmm

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/10/2017 15:54

Love Louis.
Bet he's got a real dirty streak too

Found the programme last night really unsettling though, it gave me a horrible uneasy feeling.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 09/10/2017 16:00

So you never see a celeb or someone on the street and never think you'd like to shag him/her? How on earth do you think relationships begin? The majority don't start because you'd like to sit down and have a cup of tea and a chat! One of the reasons the likes of Kevin MacCloud and Louis Theeoux are so sexy is because not only are they good looking they are incredibly good at what they do and there's nothing imo that's sexier than a man who is good at what they do.

What do you think the 'spark' is that people long for ? It's sexual attraction pure and simple and that might be from finding a beautiful face attractive or them playing a musical instrument or whatever but it IS basically physical.

Mrsjohnmurphy · 09/10/2017 16:03

Slightly off topic but why were the fire service reviving people? We found it a bit odd

heateallthebuns · 09/10/2017 16:04

Ooooo yes he's gorgeous. I told my dh I fancied him years ago and he's always taking the piss out of me for it. But what's not to like? Clever, funny, kind, tolerant, lovely ruffled hair and big brown eyes. Mmmmmmm.

I don't really fancy any other nerdy presenters though. Brian cox is too gummy and his hair is too bowly.

I wouldn't class Louis as nerdy actually.

My life, with this and the Robert Redford thread I've come over all peculiar.
