Fashion has always been a bit ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, that's part of the appeal and it'll be a sad day when it stops. I think it's perfectly fine to take the piss, just as long as you realise you're in danger of sounding like my dad the first time he saw Mick Jagger on Top of the Pops.

Sometimes it tips into taking the piss out of people who wear it. That's not cool but I've not noticed it on this thread.

I have these very boots in grey and wore them a lot last year. I think the idea with sock boots is that the sock part is meant to be tight around the leg. Mine where not I am not fashionable.

I don't see the problem. Team them with a calf length skirt and mahogany fake tan, and you too can exude the elegance of court shoes in winter, whilst still keeping feet toasty. Genius!
