Don't think arch duke Franz Ferdinand moments are a thing. Was definitely an ignition point for the tinder box Europe had become in the early 20th century but plenty of conflicts since have been a gradual build, significant locally but generally ignored until gradually sucking in surrounding areas/nations and bigger world players.

We're already probably in the middle of the next "Franz Ferdinand" moment and have been since 9/11 (or perhaps even since Versailles)

9/11 was the ‘new Pearl Harbour’ we had to have to convince everyone that sending their sons to die in the Middle East was in their best interests. After centuries of being targeted ourselves. They’ve killed everyone.
