Just that really. Friends for many years- in frequent contact but don't see each other much. Got a text 4 days later to say she's had a lot on etc.

I have some of the best friends in the world and we never bother with birthdays . We couldnt care less if the say is acknowledged or not. Forget it and keep the friendship. Its not a big deal.

Yabu- you are a grown up, birthdays are just birthdays and her life may be busy! (Can you tell I forgot my Dad's birthday this year? 😜

Seriously though, birthdays are that important to some people, there are other ways to show friendship

*Aren't

no you're not, its the thought that counts and she forgot you

same has happened to me recently, a friend with a lot more money than me didn't get me anything for my birthday and didn't send a card, I always send her a card with a gift, whether I'm skint or not

it just feels a bit shit, I know

here's some Thanks
