To eat food that's defrosted in the freezer?

Fridge has broken. There is some meat in the freezer that's been in the unplugged freezer since midday. Can I cook it tomorrow and eat it? Or should I defrost the meat on the side?

I think either. Essentially, it's defrosting in a well insulated cold box.

If you cook it off, it can then be refrozen
