To wonder if MNers average IQ has dropped by at least 10 (if not 20) points since Penis Beaker, Jeffrey etc.

It used to be a good place.

Now it's full of posters with long drawn out, multiple threads about boring banal shit.

Cheeky Neighbour thread Number 20.

My Boring Life Thread Number 100.

My Blossoming Heart Throb (who happens to be a gardener) Thread Number 90.

My Awful Life In General Thread Number 200.

And if anyone dares to challenge the OP of a multiple thread they must be a harpy or troll.

The fact that the multiple-thread-starters might be trolls themselves seems to escape the attention of the fans.

That's the thing about villages Thierry Sad - it's often the fact that you can find a jewellery quarter but no M&S.

And I agree about the gammon SumThucker as long as there is a Cumberland Sauce.

I’ll never bemoan living in a village, Virtuous, but sometimes it’d be nice to just nip to an M&S.

I make sure to escape to Birmingham fairly regularly though, for a city fix —and Percy Pigs—

Strikeout fail. MNHQ, before you delete this, could you notify your devs that iOS11 puts two hyphens into a long one and thus you cannot strike through. Sad

Haffiana · 28/09/2017 23:53

Best bloody thread for WEEKS Grin

Mrsjohnmurphy · 28/09/2017 23:56

I agree with bitoffun, there is the odd gem of a thread, but all this darked on/diagram/spider Willie's nonsense is not even slightly funny. Often people say they are pissing themselves at things that are slightly amusing at best.

CatastropheKate · 29/09/2017 00:03

Nope, I'm still as dim as I've always been.

It wasn't 'better back then' it was just newer.

You've been here too long, seen everything over and over again, things that were edgy and witty 'back then' are the same old routine to you now. Take a sabbatical, come back when you're feeling refreshed.

KimJongCunt · 29/09/2017 00:05

The only difference is that its markedly less middle class than it used to be.

Interesting that this is seemingly perceived in relation to IQ.

Typical MN.

Crack on, the lot of you and come off it. You aren't going anywhere

ftw · 29/09/2017 00:05

My IQs dropped considerably since penis beaker.

KimJongCunt · 29/09/2017 00:14

Penis beaker though. Says it all.

In any normal household it would be the cock cup, tackle tumbler, dick dipper or schlong shloss..

Penis beaker, I mean. Come on!

AVirtuousLife · 29/09/2017 00:15

So true Mrsjohnhumphrey.

I spat my tea over the keyboard at your comment.

Do you use a special tin to make the star shaped pavlova?

ThierryEnnui · 29/09/2017 00:18

No endehors, just the combined culinary freestyling skills of the village. Tbf, the aga helps. Do you have one?

CharlieSierra · 29/09/2017 00:20

All you folks who live in villages, do you find it makes you forget where your children went to school? I'm really struggling with it. Do you think it could be fumes from the aga?

endehors · 29/09/2017 00:25

Tbf, the aga helps. Do you have one?

No Sad

AVirtuousLife · 29/09/2017 00:25

I think so Charlie Sad.

I must now go to bed.

In my bedroom that is an exact replica of a hotel bedroom mentioned upthread.

OP posts:
SumThucker · 29/09/2017 00:26

I attribute it to being a chimney sweep when I was a lass, Charlie.

tippz · 29/09/2017 00:28

I am pissed off with seeing threads about Donald Trump. Hmm

Birdsgottafly · 29/09/2017 00:34

So what is it that you have against people with lower than average IQs, you know, people with Learning Disabilities?

Do you find them everything that you've described, boring and banal?

That certainly doesn't describe my DD, who has LDs, or rather, a low IQ, nor does it describe any of her peers, or the people with LDs who I've worked with.

Would you have an issue with people with LDs using this site?

Or are you talking about something different and have you failed to communicate what you mean?

In my professional working life, I've met a lot of people with high IQs, who were boring/banal and exceptionally arrogant with it. Houses of Parliament are full of them.

So what was your issue around the IQ levels of posters?

ThierryEnnui · 29/09/2017 00:34

I must also wander to the wing.

Exhausting night - held a safari supper - need I say more!

RedBullBlood · 29/09/2017 00:55

Sups, Thierry, surely. Sups.

manicinsomniac · 29/09/2017 01:06

Well, what do you expect? We're people who hang out on an internet forum. If we were a bunch of sparkly, witty people with a knack for interesting and stimulating conversation we'd be too busy spending time with like real people and too popular to waste time on MN. You're not going to find your cream of society types online.
