I love this programme. It's informative (I learn things each time), funny, accessible, non-patronising. Just brilliant.

And it has twin brother doctors #ChrisOrXand ? Wink

Sounds like a resounding no to me Grin

Haven't seen it - my kids are all past the Cbeebies stage. But I have see the twin docs on other things and they're both great.

Jonsnowsghost · 28/09/2017 08:39

My sister does the animation on it so I watch it for that Grin

SignoraStronza · 28/09/2017 08:40

Love it... and the Drs Xand and Chris are quite watchable too. This and Horrible Histories are my favourite CBBC shows and Go Jetters my preferred viewing on CBeebies.

SciFiFan2015 · 28/09/2017 08:41

It's absolutely fantastic. Love it. Although I may embarrass my DD by making kissy kissy noises when the Doctors are on screen. Blush

BlueUggs · 28/09/2017 08:45

I know the paramedic on it very well!

Sunnysidegold · 28/09/2017 09:09

I watched an episode for the first time after having it recommended by three different parents! My 5 and 7 year old watched the one where they explained how the placenta worked....my 7 year old has asked lots about this and their explanation was great. There was also a bit who had lost a finger and this sparked an interesting conversation. Great show

Holliewantstobehot · 28/09/2017 09:12

Dd 11 loves this show, especially the operations. It made her want to become a surgeon although now she wants to be a medical research scientist.

Holliewantstobehot · 28/09/2017 09:12

I thought the special they did on puberty was brilliant too.

Dulra · 28/09/2017 09:16

It is fab. Far better than the American teen programmes on Disney channel that my 7 and 10 year old seem to gravitate to. My dh was only saying yesterday that they were watching it and there was a boy with ear defenders on and they were explaining about autism. This started a whole conversation with my kids about autism and about a couple of children in their school who are autistic so they looked at some youtube vids on it. It's great. Also love horrible histories.

Babyblade · 28/09/2017 12:51

YANBU Grin

TapStepBallChange · 28/09/2017 13:12

I was so pleased when DD got into this and Horrible Histories. For me HH has th edge because of the songs, but they are both fab.DD always impresses teachers etc with her general knowledge and it's almost all from HH or operation ouch

Mari50 · 28/09/2017 13:15

My DD loves this program too, agree that the puberty special was very well done- to the point my DD is looking forward to hers starting and constantly has my sniffing her sweat to see if it's smelly yet. Delightful.

Dts 6 absolutely love it. We've Sen them all a gazillion times.

The puberty special threw out some interesting questions Grin

GrockleBocs · 28/09/2017 13:32

We like it. Dd has watched the puberty one a few times and it's answered questions I hadn't thought she'd ask and has prompted her to ask further questions. She's also picked up a fair bit of first aid stuff.

JE17 · 28/09/2017 13:41

YADNBU it's exactly how kids' TV should be.

jellyandsoup · 28/09/2017 13:47

It's bloody awesome, and yes xand and Chris are... erm. .. watchable!

fakenamefornow · 28/09/2017 13:48

Yes, that and Horrible Histories (my favorite) are brilliant. Anybody old else enough to remember 'Think of a Number' with Johnny Ball?

Passmethecrisps · 28/09/2017 13:50

I love it - my 4 year old is transfixed. I also love horrible histories but she is too wee for that

Sirzy · 28/09/2017 13:52

That and horrible histories are both great.

Ds has to have a bladder ultrasound soon - found the episode where they cover it and it explained it to DS perfectly! He also loves it when he sees people having procedures or medicines he has had before.

Drinaballerina · 28/09/2017 18:50

My 6 year old is obsessed, but she's learned so much from it. I also quite enjoy it, can't imagine why!

megletthesecond · 28/09/2017 18:54

Yanbu.

Whenever mine are about to do something stupid I suggest it's like the start of an Operation Ouch background story Grin.

BlackeyedSusan · 28/09/2017 18:57

found them really useful, as they have mentioned some of dd's conditions

FunkinEll · 28/09/2017 19:23

It's so interesting, I love it.
