To say "Fuck you all, I'm off for a spa break?"

I do this periodically when it all gets too much. But my beloved Ragdale Hall is booked up and I’m a spoiled cow.

Where else is equally lovely?

Can I come too?

TinselAngel · 27/09/2017 17:52

I don’t know. Will you want to talk at me?

I'll come I feel we only have to talk a bit.

I have been a few times to different spas and staff always seem a bit shocked that I'm by myself.

Athome77 · 27/09/2017 17:57

I've been to a few warner ones, but not as nice as ragdale, have also gone to aqua sana for a day at centre parks (cause I can go during school hours and hubby isn't aware that I have taken the day off work).

Athome77 · 27/09/2017 17:58

My favourite is the espa spa at one of the has island hotels in Abu Dhabi, definetly better than ragdale, but can't really go for just a night or a day trip.

TinselAngel · 27/09/2017 18:01

Hadn’t thought of Center Parcs for the day.

I’ve been on spa breaks my own a few times and don’t care what people think. I take pleasure in answering “God no” when asked if I’d like to sit on the “social table”,

This is what want to do every single day.

McSleepy · 27/09/2017 18:04

Are you near Ragdale? You could try Hoar Cross for a break or Eden Hall/Champneys for days. None of these are as nice as Ragdale I'm afraid so you may be disappointed. However if you're after a bargain champneys are doing some amazing offers at the moment including a day for £34.50 which is the lowest I have ever seen. I love a spa break and these are all local to me.

TinselAngel · 27/09/2017 18:11

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve been to Hoar Cross and Springs once each before, I might try them again if I can’t come up with anything else. But they are indeed, just not as lovely as Ragdale. But then nowhere is I suspect.

I’m in Derbyshire, so all 3 are a reasonable distance.

If your in Derbyshire (me too) how about the one in Nottingham? Can't remember the name it's generally full of groups

TheMasterNotMargarita · 27/09/2017 18:15

Sounds lovely.
My spa day is on hold for a few weeks but once this little busier than usual spell is over I'm booking in.
I go with my lovely friend - we chat over lunch and periodically grunt at one another during the day but mostly sigh contentedly.
Can't wait.

Eden hall

It's only a day spa

SunSeaAndSangria · 27/09/2017 18:16

Let's all go! I'll bring the Wine & Gin

Bobbins43 · 27/09/2017 18:17

I WANT A SPA DAY

Athome77 · 27/09/2017 18:18

For a simple spa day I fancy trying this one, it's definetly not centre parcs standard, but looks nice and simple
Would love to try there winter escape- I have a new job interview ne t week, if I get the job I'm booking it

If you're able to get to it Champneys in Ashby is lovely. Ragdale is my Mum and Aunt's go-to for de-stressing though, they swear by it.

YogiYoni · 27/09/2017 18:31

I don’t know. Will you want to talk at me?

Hahaha! I'm also looking for a solo spa weekend and my reply to anyone who suggests coming isn't even as subtle as yours Grin
