No one is jumping to conclusions. They are progressing by logical steps based on information provided ( ie your updates) to a very natural conclusion. YY

OP has also missed the irony that she's provided one brief and unhelpful line of 'context', asked everyone to come to a conclusion on what it meant and then suggested they are unreasonable for doing so!

In the UK its often a criticism of women whilst being praise for men.

context is everything - For me it means straight talking, upfront but not necessary bad. If my boss said t to me I'd take it as a compliment. Don't know what I would think if a date said it tho'

I think he was actually being very diplomatic, going by your responses OP. I'd have just called you rude.

Why do people think it means straight talking? It doesn't. It means the you act immediately in reaction to something without thinking it through. I don't think it's a good thing at all.
