Have you read a thread that has really stayed with you?

I always think of the foster mum, who sadly passed away. She was looking after lovely ladybird (I think that is what she called her) and her posts made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings. I did feel utterly heartbroken when I read she had passed on and she truly has inspired me to go into foster caring in later years.

I think about the poster who was pregnant and found out about her DP having an affair, after he was in hospital because of a car crash. I wonder how she is getting on and hope she is doing well.

Whenever I think about the poster who accidentally took the case of prosecco (was it prosecco?!) and the following Christmas, she was given a single bottle only, I really chuckle.

I noticed a while back that Riven's daughter has written a book for charity. I won't put the name on here for privacy, but I was amused to find that Amazon's 'People who bought this also bought' now comes up with Cordelia Fine's 'Delusions of Gender'.

I think about OpheliaRose a lot. Last I remember her utterly terrible, spineless and spiteful exH had just proposed to the OW and I wanted to go and hit him hard with something blunt. She had twins a similar age to my DD. I hope she's happy now (and her ex H has contracted herpes at the very least).

The lady whose exh refused to return her son after a visit. I don't know if she ever got him back, but I often wonder :(

Miaalexandrasmummy. My heart still aches for her. The way she wrote about her daughter and her grief was just so beautiful and brave. She and her DH sounded like just the most amazing people. I know she went on to have a little boy but I lost track of her a while back. If you are reading 💐💐💐

Someone upthread asked about marriedinwhite. She's fine. She came to one of our piss ups meet ups earlier this year!

I've just realised that I miss Quint. I know she's posted now and again since she moved back to her home country some time ago, but I haven't 'seen' her for a while. I hope she, and her family, are happier now.

Hi,

I just read this thread and wanted to pop my head in to say thank you so so much to the posters who mentioned my lovely girl Beatrice- it's so amazing that people remember her, thank you. It was her 6th birthday a couple of weeks ago- we placed balloons and flowers on her garden, then had a lovely tea party Smile

She has a little brother now, he's three and completely healthy. Her dad left us and moved to another country, the children don't have much contact with him any more.

So life changes, but it goes on as always. And a life filled with love is still a life worth living Smile

10 years ago I was going through a very difficult time due to multiple miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. I spent a lot of time on the conception board and a poster called lissie was very kind to me and I often wondered what happened to her (she was also struggling with recurrent miscarriages). At the same time there was a poster who was struggling to conceive after losing a baby due to a true cord knot. I cannot remember her name, but I still think of her from time to time and wonder if her story had a happy ending.

Lavenderhoney I think the name was. A long thread about an awful husband and I think she came back to UK from UAE or somewhere abroad. She went through hell with this man, I think about her a lot.
