Just come into a small amount of money, and wanted to take the children away for a short break to meet FC before the eldest got too old (will be 10 by then) and the youngest is able to remember the experience (almost 5)
Don't particularly want to do a one day affair to lapland, as we live a LOOOONG way from london where direct flights go from.
DH suggested instead of spending in excess of £4k on the trip (almost all of our windfall) that we try and do it a bit cheaper, maybe go to switzerland, austria, germany, or other snowy county and do all the things there that we wanted to do in lapland - tobogganing, husky ride, reindeer rides etc.
Can we find anywhere? can we hell. We have found a place in switzerland where you walk through a christmas market up to the top of a very steep hill in order to meet santa, along with scores of other people - but that wasn't quite what we were looking for - have any of you any clever ideas?
