Maybe it's just me, but I'll kick off with:
Booby monster (or any kind of 'monster')
Figetbum (not seen this often, but it is so horrific I can't forget it)
Snuggly cuddles (see also milky cuddles, and sleepy cuddles or snuggles)
Newborn, used as a noun, not an adjective - as in my newborn, not my newborn baby.
I'm sure I will think of some more!

Pissed off at something DP/DH does, majority react with LTB 😴

Sandyfeet101 · 24/09/2017 23:04

Red Herring - people are constantly proclaiming part of a story to be a red herring on Mumsnet. Never hear the phrase in real life!

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 24/09/2017 23:05

I keep seeing the word "boak" on here which I assum means vomit?

Is that correct? Never heard it outside of MN. Why not just say vomit / puke etc

InThisTogether · 24/09/2017 23:09

bump (Over and over)

mostly found on pregnancy board where no-one gives a toss about whether your squinty test is positive or negative, or your scan has a nub

Do you mean fidget bum? Horrific? It's a perfectly normal way to describe a fidgety child and has been since I was a child 45 odd years ago Confused

dolphinbbq · 24/09/2017 23:10

Placemarking

Name changed for this so here goes

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 24/09/2017 23:11

Red Herring - people are constantly proclaiming part of a story to be a red herring on Mumsnet. Never hear the phrase in real life! You've never read it in a book or heard it in conversation, seriously? It's not a 'MN phrase.'

peachgreen · 24/09/2017 23:15

@InThisTogether oh God, I hate the gender guess ‘bump’s. So irritating.

@SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 Common in NI and was common in Scotland when I lived there but according to PPs isn’t used as much now. Definitely not a MN thing.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 24/09/2017 23:19

Thank you peachgreen, I'm in the south east of England which is probably why i'd never heard it!

Germgirl · 24/09/2017 23:24

'Yum'
I hate it!
Often seen on the "what's for dinner?" threads

"Chickpea & lentil curry with spinach, quinoa & quark, YUM!"
ugh

3EyedRaven · 24/09/2017 23:25

Boils my piss.
Stabby.
Vacuous

TheCowWentMoo · 24/09/2017 23:25

I really really hate the phrase 'picky bits' or 'picky tea' or when posters describe dinner and its always 'loads of veggies' it really gets to me. No one on MN ever just has a vegetables or e.g. carrots and broccoli for dinner its always 'loads of veggies' and always served with a massive salad, never just a salad.
I also hate:
wow, just wow type things
You sound grabby/hardwork etc.
The overuse of the word entitled
Im sure theres loads more....

womanbehavingbadly · 24/09/2017 23:26

Holibobs
Hubby

STBEH / STBEXH is the worst.

I genuinely and truly used to think that this meant "stupid twat bastard ex husband" when I first read it on MN. The penny finally dropped last week!

ProverbialOuthouse · 24/09/2017 23:28

"Shit or get off the pot"

My grandad used to say it but I've noticed someone on here went through a phase of saying on a number of threads they were replying to. Unnecessary, not big and not clever.

ProverbialOuthouse · 24/09/2017 23:29

Oh and another vote for "yummy".

"I had beans on toast for dinner, it was yummy". - are you 5?

RaspberryRuffless · 24/09/2017 23:30

I know the "D" thing has been mentioned already, but I can't stand when it's used in front of the actual word, so instead of "DM" for mum, they put "DMum" "Ddad", can't stand it!! I don't get the point in it, all you've done is made the word longer! Also hate "Ddog".

Hate Sanpro.

Hate when people say "name changed - cancel the cheque, maui, EKL".

Oh, and I hate with a passion whole paragraphs of strikethrough text. I can just about handle the odd word in a post but some posters get carried away. Although that's not a word/phrase, I'm adding it anyway!

That's all I can think of just now, I'm sure there's more though.

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuckKeidis · 24/09/2017 23:30

Redglitter my kid is the only one in the country with that name, the last one was 200 years ago, according to a book on mythology I've got. Hmm

Userlavender · 24/09/2017 23:31

What does STEBH mean?

RaspberryRuffless · 24/09/2017 23:31

I also though STBEXH was STupidBastardEXHusband until only a couple of weeks ago!!

alseb · 24/09/2017 23:37

Scrummy

Bunnyfuller · 24/09/2017 23:46

Evildoctor called her child King Neptune. I think it's cool!

Re. The 'tinkly laugh, pearls and naice' are these not ironic self piss takes? A bit self mocking? Because they're not a real thing now so it reads as mocking those days when it was a thing?

I always read them that way, ditto the dear reader thing

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuckKeidis · 24/09/2017 23:51

Do you know me in RL Bunnyfuller? 😂

BigFatGoalie · 24/09/2017 23:53

Hun Confused

If you feel the need to say Hun you know which site to head off too.

blackteasplease · 24/09/2017 23:54

I have the word 'meh' but especially on mumsnet.

When the poster thinks they are above whatever is being discussed and makes that point by beginning the post with 'meh'.
