If someone takes something and says they'll pay and then never do?

Yeah was silly and too trusting of me. Lesson learnt.

To be pedantic and legally precise i should have written sold, not gave.

So she took your bag, promising to give you payment.

After repeated reminders, she tells you that she sold it, so she can't even give it back and she still hasn't paid you back?

You have to go through the small claims court with any texts, emails or WhatsApp screenshots as back up.
