just went to park with ds. He went off to play and I sat on the bench. on the same bench were three other people, two women and a bloke. they had two kids between them who were quite young - I'd say about 18 months or so. still toddling and no speech etc. I'm not sure whose child was whose as both mums appeared to be occasionally shouting at both children.
Anyway these children were just left to rome the park. none of the adults got up at any point to supervise them, occasionally one of the mums screached one of the kids' names while the other woman and bloke sat on the bench snogging. Then one of the women said "oh x is giving some kid a hard time", to which the other one replied "oh if the other child doesn't give him what he wants he'll just punch her" and went back to texting on her mobile.
I left after that, but as I came out the gate the little girl, who had been fascinated by the dog, followed me out. I didn't notice her, and the parents certainly didn't notice, as she followed me all the way out the park up to the road. It was only when we got up to the road that ds said "where's the little girl's mummy?" and I realized she'd followed me so we went back. she ran through the gates, and all I could hear was the mum saying "fking hell you stupid little b*ch". was
now I guess one shouldn't judge but ...
