Planning meals for 17mth old and nearly 5 yr old

Ds has just started school and will have a packed lunch. Can I ask you what your easy meals that suit both ages are? Do you freeze food and plan it for the week. I am veggie but children aren't but I'm not very good of thinking of meals with meat in that are easy to cook.

Should have added that looking for hot, evening meals.

You could make lots of batches of ragu and freeze it then cook pasta in the evenings?

My go to lazy evening meal for my 17m old is a cheese omlette and chopped up cherry tomatoes, he loves it - you could add some potato wedges to make it more filling for your 5 year old.

Grilled chicken, wedges, and corn on the cob takes half and hour (my DS just leaves the chicken though, am not sure if its an age/difficulty thing or just him not liking chicken)

At that ages mine were eating the same thing. For evening for my four children have things like shepherds pie, sphag Bol then freeze enough sauce to do a lasagna another day, meat pie on a Monday from what ever roast we have sunday. Sausage and mash, oven cooked chicken with some cut uo potatoes skin on as wedges is very easy. Make a quick pasta and sauce or mac cheese. Omlette, beans on toast and pitta bread pizzas are all very quick and can be served with a bit of veg or salad on the side .

I batch and freeze. Quorn spag bol freezes well, as does mild chilli - i blitz with hand blender so there's no veggie chunks. Mild curry too freezes well.

also have an easy night and do omelettes, beans on toast, jacket pot.

Veggie sticks are my main snack when they get in then don't have to worry about cramming too much veg in during meal.

mine usually have quorn sausages one night a week as they are handy freezer item as are veggie burgers and they just go in a bun
