AIBU Weight Loss

AIBU to think I can lose 3 stone by August next year? I'm 5"2 and on the wrong side of 12 stone Blush.

I used to be completely inactive but I've bought a Fitbit and ensuring I'm doing at least 10,000 steps and burning 2400 calories a day whilst keeping my intake below 2000.

I've lost 4lb in 2 weeks so far.

Am I being delusional or is this actually achievable? I'm staring to hope!

@cherrystorm Good luck! I would love to weigh 10'10 🙈!

I have the charge 2 and love it! It's what's given me the kick up the bum I needed!

Thanks Cosy. I know that 10'10 doesn't sound too bad but I carry all the weight on my belly and back and look extremely round.

I like the look of the Fitbit Alta so I think I will go with that one. Hopefully this will give me the motivation I am lacking. It will be interesting to see how many steps I am doing plus the calorie burn. I'm also excited that the Fitbit gives you mobile text/calls notifications. Feeling positive.

Yes you can definitely do it :) my tips would be don't get obsessive about it (so what if you don't lose any one week) and change your eating habits to something you think you can sustain long term and most importantly don't deprive yourself! I lost 6 stone in under a year by doing this and kept most of it off through pregnancy too :) good luck.... You can do it x

The primary tip I give for anybody tracking food is to look at the average over a week / fortnight / month

that way the party with wine and cake
is offset by three days of being sensible

I tend to undereat during the work and overeat at the weekend, but the average is right

Good tip!

I've lost 6lb so far! Feeling positive! Still resisting the take aways and junk food so feel like I'm winning!

Starting to do some work out videos now! How long(ish) should they be?

I've been doing 11-15mins work out video (Every other night) plus 13.000 steps a day.

Look at alternatives for breakfast - porridge made with water and sprinkled with blueberries is my go to for the moment, greek yoghurt with berries and banana is another, scrambled eggs are also good.

Your current intake sounds too restrictive to fill you up for long enough to continue your current stunning weight loss.

Could you bear to eat vegetables in a soup? I roasted a butternut squash and some red peppers inthe oven the other night then blitzed them in the blender, added a chicken stock cube dissolved in water until it was the consistency I like. Could do this with carrots too!! Gives you more vitamins and is more filling than half a bowl of cereal!
