sil and her kids coming to visit and said she will be here for 11am. So I cooked 2 different meals and have been up since 9 getting housework done.

It's now past 1pm no sign of them and no call either to say they will be late.
Now aibu to just lock up and go out, it's such a lovely day and I promised I will take the kids to the farm later and I still need to get my shopping for the weekend.
I have text but no reply as of yet. That was an hour ago.

Partially cooked it then would have finished off when they got here.

Even a well done steak takes 5-6 mins plus 2 to stand. Less if you prefer it rarer.
