To be so sick of being on the bones of my arse all the time

I am just venting really, but I am so unhappy.

I have about (give or take £20) £200 a week and although it just about covers everything it leaves absolutely no wriggle room. I can't afford a social life, presents, holidays, anything 'nice' just for me. I'm desperate for a pair of new shoes and I just can't bloody afford them!

I know it could be worse (it could be a lot worse) and hopefully things will look up soon but in the meantime I am just so fed up.

It's crap being skint and quite depressing sometimes. I manage to make a bit of money selling things on facebook groups and eBay if you have anything you'd be surprised what sells actually if you find a good group. I get up skint and spent the larger portion of my 20's scraping by. I'm comfortable now but also very aware of how quickly you can be back at square 1. Life's a rollercoaster your time at the top will come I'm sure.

Thanks! I am single and work anti social hours so I am alone a lot. Being alone a lot is one thing, being alone a lot with no money is so hard and depressing.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. It's shit.

What you need to do is get creative, focus on any skills you have, whatever they might be - if you can make it people will buy it. It doesn't happen overnight but you can build on it. I started off mowing lawns and eventually (long story short) built up my own business in the timber industry.

I also know what it's like working weird hours (and in my case in a weird place) - it definitely limits your ability to interact with friends and even more so to meet new ones.

You can do it too. But whatever you do or don't do - definitely don't get withdrawn and fall into the "this is my life" trap - that will consume you.

Do what I did, get massively pissed off, blame the world and it's sister, be annoyed and then COME OUT FUCKING SWINGING.

Best of luck to you, I hope things get better soon.

Have you looked on everythingisfivepound? Saw some lush ankle boots for a fiver (obviously) and £3.95 postage!! Had some things for £2.50. Cheaper than a charity shop. . Been keeping out of them as can't afford the prices atm!
