I ordered 3 Lego advent calendars from a company that had an offer code so got the 3 of them for £44 instead of £65.
Ordered a Lego city, Lego friends and Lego Star Wars
Order arrived today (parcel half open and literally thrust into my hands by delivery driver, didn't even say hello.

Opened it up to find it's a Lego city, and 2 Star Wars. No Lego friends

Rang the customer line to be told

  • I need to take it to the post office and pay to have it sent back
...err no, it's thier mistake

Next person- ok we will arrange a courier to collect it but can be any time in the next 7 days and if you go out you need to leave it in the garden so courier can collect it
...err no, I'd then have no proof I'd sent it back if it went missing from the garden as well as the rick of t being rained on/ruined my marauding cats/foxes that linger in these parts!

Ok maybe I can live with waiting on for a courier, I do work from home
Oh and refund will be 10 days after we receive parcel back (so up to 17 days after I let them know of thier error)

Ok I need a Lego friends one that I ordered sent out to me
You will need to order a new one and pay for it now
... err no I've already paid for it you just haven't sent it to me
No you will have to pay for it now as a new order, oh and it's now more expensive
... err no I want it at the price I paid for it please

We can't do that I'm afraid computer won't let me but I can take your payment now and ask accounts to refund you the difference in 10 days time

Me: completely frustrated by no

  • you know what I'll bloody order the friends one from Amazon like I should have done and sell the Star Wars one on face book (which I sold within about 10 minutes of posting it)

I know people like to complain about Amazon taking over the world but to be fair to them they've always been brilliant at sorting out any complaints /errors!

Disclaimer: this is totally a 1st world problem and I may be over reacting slightly as been up since 3am with DS2 who has a UTI, work was a bitch andninvolved me sorting out all the problems other people had caused by not doing thier jobs properly, then an emergency visit to the dentist for DS1

Terrible customer service. Chances are not only will you never use them again, you'll tell your friends and family who will also avoid them. With that amount of money, in the interest of customer relations, it may have been more sensible for them to send you the Lego Friends and ask you to give the wrong one to charity. This is what happened to me with a recent Book People order and I made sure I told my friends and Family what an excellent company they are - so they probably have new customers.

That's exactly why I use Amazon a lot. Excellent customer service. I returned an item yesterday and by the time I had walked back from the post office I had my refund.
