To ask how often you bath

Just wondering how often people bath? If I don't bath for one day I stink!! I don't always have time in the morning before the school run, (don't have a shower) but I will completely reek and it's so embarrassing. Can't understand how people go 2-3 days which is apparently common without bathing?!

Well maybe someone will be along in a minute with some advice about non- sweaty BO Smile

iveburntthetoast · 08/09/2017 19:01

I have had one bath in the last 8 years. Hate them.

Poshindevon · 08/09/2017 19:02

I cannot remember the last time I had a bath its years ago. I hate having a bath and sitting manky water.
However I shower twice a day, so convenient.

sushiwushi · 08/09/2017 19:04

I shower twice a day. I probably wouldn't stink if I didn't - but I would hate the feeling of not feeling clean. I just don't get how people can go for days without showering or having a bath. Each to their own!

TheDowagerCuntess · 08/09/2017 19:04

I can't remember the last time I had a bath. Can't imagine faffing around with a bath in the morning.

I shower at least once a day.

But how do you 'reek' after missing one in the morning?

Looneytune253 · 08/09/2017 19:06

Every morning first thing (how don't you have time? I work from home as a childminder, start at 715 and have a bath before anyone arrives) then a few times a week I'll bath or shower in the evening too when I need to wash my hair. I just make it part of my routine.

Toddlermayhem · 08/09/2017 19:06

I bath or shower everyday. Very occasionally I've missed a day, usually happens if I've got a day off ended up having a pj day then just can't be bothered. But I don't smell if I miss one day of showering.

Yes you do. It's called getting up early enough.

millifiori · 08/09/2017 19:15

About 2-3 times a week. The rest of the time I have a shower.

liz70 · 08/09/2017 19:20

Bath or shower daily, hair wash and condition every third day unless particularly hot and sweaty.

73kittycat73 · 08/09/2017 19:20

I wish I had a bath. Flat is too small, only have room for a shower. I've been here 12 years and I really do miss a good soak. Sad

user1498726699 · 08/09/2017 19:21

Bathe about once a week. Think the bottom area needs a good hot soak periodically.

Evilstepmum01 · 08/09/2017 19:31

Shower nearly every morning unless I'm running late when a quick wash with a flannel suffices. Hair wash 2 or 3 times a week as it's curly.
The kids are bathed 3 times a week.
I like baths!

Evilstepmum01 · 08/09/2017 19:32

Should say I shower every day on my period, have to!!

Letstryagainshallwe · 08/09/2017 21:06

I don't know why I smell so bad as I said I think I have no problems as even after bathing and spraying myself I will smell within a couple of hours of bo anyway. Always had this problem even when young my mum would always have a go at me. Seems to be genetic as my dads the same. I'm jealous of people that don't smell. Anyway I would get up earlier but my baby is currently not sleeping till 2 am (sometimes 1am if I'm lucky) so I'm living off very little sleep! I'm just about able to drag myself up some mornings as I'm so exhausted!

Do you mean you stink by the time 24 hours is up and you're ready for another bath? Or if you go 48 hours you stink? Cos if it's the former that's pretty unusual and may be some health issues going on there.

I shower every single day without fail. In the morning. Wash condition hair every morning too. Wash my face of makeup at do skincare routine at night. I wouldn't feel right leaving the house without showering and washing my hair. Wouldn't feel clean after secreting oils and attracting dirt since the previous shower. Plus you might sweat in your sleep and not realise as you're dry when you're awake.

I realise it doesn't really matter and it's a very personal thing but I'm a bit suspicious of anyone who can go more than a day without a shower or bath. What's with those who strip wash? Takes more effort and faff than hopping in the shower and doing a proper job of it!

I love the process anyway. Time to myself in the morning. Enjoy the showering, hair styling and about 20-30 minutes for makeup. Worth getting up a bit earlier for as I know I look and feel my best all day.

KityGlitr · 08/09/2017 21:16

Ps I doubt it's common for people to go a few days unless there's a reason like mental health issues, physical disability or something that makes it difficult to do. Everyone I know showers daily and it'd be considered rank not to.

Maybe three days this year so far I have been a day without a shower due to being too poorly to have one and being alone in the house anyway. I didn't smell just felt reslly gross and dirty.

Letstryagainshallwe · 08/09/2017 21:17

No I really do smell if I miss the morning bath. I can smell myself and it isn't nice. Like I literally couldn't miss a morning bath and not smell.

"When it comes to washing in the morning, only 21 per cent of females take the time to shower or have a bath every day, with 33 per cent admitting to leaving it as long as three days from wash to wash." Was a news article I read a while ago

Are you for real Kitty? Wtf!
Not everyone stinks to high heaven after 48 hours of not washing, people are obsessed with over cleanliness these days, it's crazy, we are all paranoid about everything these days.
I bath every 2 to 3 days and wash my hair once a week. I smell great, my hair looks great, I'm not disabled or mentally ill and I'm not obsessed with anti bacterial everything either! Grin

IfeelFloopy · 08/09/2017 21:43

I sweat a lot and I never smell. The only time I get that BO smell is if I feel stressed, which is very rare.

It must just be genetic.

imonaplane · 08/09/2017 21:46

I also cannot remember the last time I had a bath. I shower every day. I really don't like soaking in a bath of scummy water. A shower is so refreshing.

BusterGonad · 08/09/2017 21:47

I don't suffer from BO or smelly feet and I don't have oily skin or hair either.

TabbyCatPaws · 08/09/2017 21:50

I have a bath or shower every Saturday religiously. Even if I think I could leave it longer I keep to my Saturday routine, it works for me.
