Dd has been back at school for half an hour and in that time i have sorted out a cupboard door that i have been staring at all holiday, hoovered the floor, taken photos for ebay, been on here.

Next i will answer my emails, apply for jobs, take the ipad to CEX to hoppfully exchange and do my excersise dvd!
It gas been a tough summer as i was made unexpectantly unemployed and have been brassic as a result.
On top if this dd has been very anxious and hasnt been out to play as much as last summer.
We went away for a fab 2 weeks but since coming back have bimbled about the house which we both wuite enjoy.
However, i cant focus on what needs to be done when shes at home. She takes over the tv and sofa and leaves a trail of mess. I feel guilty but now i can tidy up properly. Miss her though!

Yes, my house looks like an explosion has gone off. However, I am shattered today (bad nights sleep with pain) so just sitting here with the laptop and a coffee contemplating the least taxing job I can tackle.

The conservatory is full of wetsuits, body boards, snorkelling stuff and sand (actually sand seems to be everywhere despite hoovering regularly). We can't pack it away yet so another three weeks of tripping over beach stuff to go.

I need to clear up the living room (full of boxes to go up to school - waiting on a day to take them up). Then I can start making space for the 1.7m cat tree I have just bought (which DP has no idea about).

Mainly it's just general clutter. DD1 went back to uni on Monday and I've already been in and stripped her bed and hoovered. So her room is fine.

Also need to put the motorbike stuff back in the loft and the suitcases back with summer clothes in but reluctant to do that until we are officially in autumn.

In other words, lots of stuff to do but I'm still sat here thinking up reasons not to do them!

Me too, I have a to-do list a mile long and really need to knock some stuff off it today!

Need to print off some paperwork and then step away from the computer unless I am ordering stuff or paying bills Sad

Haha, I am having a quick break after tidying and cleaning as my dc are at school and nursery for my one day of freedom a week. (Dc1 at school all week obviously, but dc2 only at nursery 1 day).

So far :

  • tidied the utility room cupboard (which has been a malevolent game of Jenga for 3 months)
  • cleaned the scum from inside of dishwasher so my glasses might finally be properly clean rather than mostly clean
  • emptied, sorted and cleared 4 kitchen cupboard, getting rid of cups and bottles that haven't been used for 3 years (have posted them on little blue cup in case they are ones in need!)

I only dropped them off at 9:00!

I could laugh at my old self sometimes, I used to think it was amazing my DH and I could clean our whole house in 2 hours. (We both worked ft so no real mess made during the week).

The things I can achieve in 4 man hours now are ridiculous!
