To wish the drive drive laws were clearer

Or just do away with them and have a zero limit?

Reading the Kirsty Gallagher articles. She was still three times over the limit 7hrs after she stopped drinking. How can anyone really know when they are ok to drive the next day? I always struggle to work out if I'm ok to pick my car up the next afternoon or not. Trying to do unit/hours maths whilst hungover isn't easy either. Plus everyone's metabolic rate is different. So presumably a big fella who is use to drinking heavily may not be over the limit whereas a slight woman would be.

It's all as clear as mud

I'm a bit surprised by the responses on this thread, but vindicated!

People IRL always seem to be surprised by my attitude to drinking and driving - at the very most, having one small one earlier in an evening if I'm driving/limiting my evening drinking if I'm driving the next morning.

I'm continually being bullied by my boyfriend's family to have 'a small one' etc. I think I've only just recovered my reputation from the incident a few Christmases ago where I 'rudely' refused his Nan's sherry-soaked trifle after accepting a small glass of prosecco - the fumes coming off it were ridiculous!
