To ask you all to dress me?

Ok I have a hideous fashion sense as I'm a bit of a tom boy and prefer to just be comfy, I'm also aspergeric so don't tend to care too much about other people's opinions of me but with a holiday looming - I really want to make the effort to look nice and feminine - even if just for DH and the photos.

A few weeks ago I asked in here what I should wear for the flight. A lot of people stated harem pants, a vest top and cardigan. I bought the pants and vest top but where the hell do you get a fashionable cardigan? All the ones I look at are too bulky or look like something I should be buying my grandma!

Can you help me? One last time 😁

Shamelessly peacemaking because I too would like something cardigan-like which is neither granny twin set, sporty hoody, or dreadful flappy Per Una waftiness.

Primark I picked up a simple black cardigan for £8 I think and it's really comfy

Jakadaal · 04/09/2017 11:26

Zara have nice lightweight cardigans in at the moment or somewhere like mint velvet or Pure

flownthecoopkiwi · 04/09/2017 11:27

i agree Primark or Zara. Primark do really nice mid length ones, with pockets.

MaidOfStars · 04/09/2017 11:32

I think harem pants need a shorter length with front seams that curve behind you. Buttons are optional.

Something like:

I tried on this Mint Velvet cardi on the weekend. It's lovely but was a bit above my budget until payday -

true Maid

Long cardis good with leggings or skinny jeans

taxiforme · 04/09/2017 11:47

Try next for simple unfussy Long boyfriend type cardis - they tend to be good value and last

Depending on your budget Monsoon might have some nice stuff?

dameednatheaverage · 04/09/2017 11:59

Boden? Controversial I know but cropped might be the answer.

Motoko · 04/09/2017 12:15

I bought a nice cropped cardi from Monsoon on Saturday. It was in the sale and cost £10.50, reduced from £35. Bargain! I can't find it online, but if you've a store near you it might be worth a look.

I think a cropped cardi would look good with harem trousers. I know you said not a twinset and pearls type, but a round necked cropped cardi is a classic and looks equally good with jeans or a little black dress.
Boden have some nice ones.
