To worry that parents on school parent councils may have personal liability?

I'm interested in joining my son's school's parent council. However I've heard stories where parents on them became embroiled in legal wranglings to do with incidents that happened under their watch (but actually outwith their control). So I wondered if you have any personal liability when you're on a council or are you protected? I'm in Scotland if that's of relevance. Thanks

Do you mean at Parent Council run events? I'm in Scotland too. I think the PC has PLI, tbh.
