AIBU to LTB over cheese?

MollysMummy2010 · 30/08/2017 22:17

I bought ingredients to make macaroni cheese for dinner for DD and myself tonight. DH does not like macaroni cheese but said he would sort himself out.

Made white sauce and cooked pasta. Went to add in the cheese to the sauce.

DH has eaten all the cheese.

LTB?

TBH I don't know why you're on mumsnet. You should be googling local solicitors with one hand while packing his stuff with the other.

Mrscropley · 30/08/2017 22:19

Cable tie him to the bed and pour the hot sauce over his genitals.

OliviaStabler · 30/08/2017 22:20

Definitely!

dementedma · 30/08/2017 22:21

Monster! LTB at once hun

MollysMummy2010 · 30/08/2017 22:21

Jesus. Totally divorce territory.

Cheese is life.

minoandolphin · 30/08/2017 22:23

Send him out to buy more cheese. The GOOD cheese. Repeatedly mention 'the cheese incident' any time he attempts to wriggle out of anything in the future.

Mrscropley · 30/08/2017 22:23

Then you have bigger issues than his culinary skills I would say. .

TheEdgeOfGlory266 · 30/08/2017 22:23

If DH took away my cheese, I would 100% LTB.
Pack his bags at once. No second thoughts.

AuditAngel · 30/08/2017 22:24

Did he know the cheese was a meal ingredient? If so - LTB

No-one eats my cheese

Kerantli · 30/08/2017 22:25

That is a LTB offence in this house

Graphista · 30/08/2017 22:25

A kinky cheese lover? NEVER divorce him - just buy lots more cheese!

BannedFromNarnia · 30/08/2017 22:26

I hope you've got the solicitor on speed dial, phone in hand, as you give him a ten minute countdown to get to the shop and back with more cheese. Sod.

MollysMummy2010 · 30/08/2017 22:27

He totally knew it was a meal ingredient as we discussed that he wasn't too hungry and as he doesn't like it and me and DD do I would make it for us. I also put ham and onion in and said he could have some of the ham but to leave the cheese (hmm, main ingredient) but he says he "misheard"...

Graphista - he won't touch brie or camembert etc and I don't really like Cheddar unless cooked so perhaps we are basically cheese incompatible and I should LTB?

OP posts:
ladyballs · 30/08/2017 22:31

Definitely LTB.

Graphista · 30/08/2017 22:32

Nah you just need to reserve a shelf of the fridge JUST for cheese Grin (cheesy grin)

TinselAngel · 30/08/2017 22:32

From now on, keep the cheese in a padlocked box.

LeakyLittleBoat · 30/08/2017 22:40

"DH does not like macaroni cheese" - you see this right here should have been a major red flag long before he got within cheese-stealing distance, OP. What kind of monster doesn't like mac and cheese???

ILoveMillhousesDad · 30/08/2017 22:41

What an absolute prick. Lt greedy b

MollysMummy2010 · 30/08/2017 22:42

The very worst thing was that I had bought grated cheese (I know, flame me) as we are late back after holiday club and the local shop doesn't sell it!! I hate grating cheese and I also managed to shut my thumb in a door recently and the nail is hanging off and worried I would grate it and knock it off!!

ILoveMillhousesDad · 30/08/2017 22:43

Well this thread just keeps getting worse!!!!!!

ImperialBlether · 30/08/2017 22:44

It's his job to grate the cheese. Your job is to drink wine and supervise.

ragz134 · 30/08/2017 22:44

LTB. But also, seriously, how small was the cheese?!

MollysMummy2010 · 30/08/2017 22:44

Leaky - I have managed to marry a man who doesn't like pasta or soft cheese. His mum is Italian.

Off to loft to find suitcase.....
