Bake Off adverts

Have we gone back to the 1950s?? We've had a strange Stork advert where a man tells two women to 'come on ladies' and they compete to bake him a cake. We've then had a Colgate toothpaste advert which implies the purpose of having nice teeth is so you can attract a man on a train.

How does this stuff get signed off?!

The one I was annoyed by was the right move ad with the two little kids and the mum. The little girl not taking credit for her work, effort and cleverness in finding the right house. Instead she will make her mum think it's her idea. In general it's a very female stereotype that does not help women at all.

Noel is great but I cannot abide Sandy and after a revolting meal in Leiths I have no faith in Pru either.

So, one less for the fan base.

Didn't notice these ads particularly because I was too horrified by the thought of sticky golden syrup everywhere 🤢
