but have made it look like I have been busy with planning/paperwork?

It's back to work on Monday. DH went back today.

All I have done today is sit on my lardy arse and watch all the sitting Telly I had on the skybox waiting- I did get the dining room table set up to work but apart from passing through to get more drinks/crisps etc I haven't looked at it since 10am.....

Actually I haven't done 'nuffin ' I have kindly emptied the sky box!!!

Thank you mumsnet I feel better now.

Good on you. Doing 'nothing' is always good for the soul.

YANBU!!!! Days off - on your own - are GREAT.

I would like to point out we don't have any small children- all grown up now.

I have spent all holiday looking after nieces and nephews, parents and DH who had an op just at the end of last term.

I have bloody indigestion now from overdosing on crisps....

Nothing unreasonable about having a lazy day once in a while. As long as it's not every day it wouldn't even register with me if you were my OH.

Call it a self-care day. You will probably be incredibly productive tomorrow thanks to the down time.
