Airbnb don't want my business. Pissed off...royally!*^~?¥$

Ok so posting here for traffic but want advice. DH and I plan to go away for a few days and set up an Airbnb account . It's a bit of a faff but it's done. We now need to confirm our email address! We get the emails but there's no link within them to confirm! We've pressed 'confirm email ' zillions of times and NO LINK. Despite being a fairly nice middle aged couple they obviously don't want our business! Is it a trick? Is it a trap? Have they just got shit software? Anyone....please....any idea?!

You sound like you've got a persecution complex.
I imagine your anti virus software or spam filter is disabling links on incoming email. HTH

DH gets the email in his inbox but when we click confirm nothing .....zilch!

Screenshot the email (with your details blanked ) so someone can help?

Try opening the email as a Web page. Or, do you have another email you could use? One of my email addresses won't work for links if I view them through the web mail instead of downloaded to the pop server thing.

This is just one reason I have more than one email address!

@Chapterandverse. I had the same problem in May - first time booking with airbnb - booked in £ and ended up paying in $. I emailed airbnb to see if they could tell me why this was, and hopefully fix it. They got back right away to say they'd check it out, then a week or so later got back to tell me it was to do with the way my paypal was set up, and, and ... gave me a voucher for £150 to use for a future airbnb booking!

Email them and ask why $ and maybe you'll get a voucher too!

Are you using any kind of ad blocker? Try disabling if you are?

I bet it's 'pop ups disabled' in which case there will be an 'x' or similar in the title bar.. click on it and enable the pop up

No, one of my emails can't cope with embedded links. There's no way around it. I just use a different one, though it can work if I can open the email in a Web page instead.
