Woman in car at Asda car park

I was walking back to my car earlier trying to balance stuff in my hands. No walkways in car park so trying to keep to the sides. I heard a really loud beep that made me jump. Turned round and realised car coming past but as it came past this woman passenger was shouted shitloads of abuse at me. I said something like oh sod off but not very loud and I could see them still gesturing and shouting even as they drove out of the car park! I felt a bit upset at this. Not to the point of tears or anything but what are people's problems nowadays that they have to yell and swear at others who may delay them by a matter of seconds?!

Annoying, but wouldn't make me upset, I'd just be thinking she was a massive twat.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 27/08/2017 17:34

GrinGrinyes I do think that now! That made me laugh. Thanks.

Agree she is. I usually wonder how much coke they had the night before to be so easily wound up.

sonlypuppyfat · 27/08/2017 17:40

People are arseholes, no one's got a second anymore. I hate driving just lately

silverbell64 · 27/08/2017 17:42

Totally agree the driver was being an arse. It was a car part for christ sake not a road.

silverbell64 · 27/08/2017 17:43

*park

myusernameisnotmyusername · 27/08/2017 17:43

It's just the anger on her face that got me!

Some people are just twats!

I remember some random old guy whom I'd never met before when I was about 20. I was sitting outside the halls at uni and having a fag (not my smartest years, but still) and he just walked up to me, called me a 'stupid fucking wench' and complained that smoking would ruin my beauty.

Not that I'd disagree that smoking was bad for me, but it still wasn't any of his bloody business.

Some people are just ... special! Don't worry, OP, it's not you!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 27/08/2017 17:55

Jesus Christ! That's awful! I'm not a smoking fan but nobody has the right to talk to anyone else like that and wtf's it got to do with him anyway?!

OP posts:
myusernameisnotmyusername · 27/08/2017 17:56

What did you say?

OP posts:
BossyBitch · 27/08/2017 18:01

Nothing much, actually. I was 20, insecure and just literally gobsmacked. My boyfriend told him to fuck off and leave me alone, though.

Papergirl1968 · 27/08/2017 18:07

I just had a run in with a woman pushing a pram, who was standing by a zebra crossing. I stopped and other cars did but she was waving us on, presumably waiting for other people to join her. I lifted my shoulders slightly in a wtf gesture, which prompted her to start yelling abuse.
Some people are just rude, obnoxious loud mouths. I don't lose any sleep over them any more.

I would like to live on a private island sometimes totally cut off from civilisation.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 27/08/2017 22:18

Yeah I'm with you there!

I got called a cunt by a van driver for daring to cross a quiet residential street, because he had to slow down. The vitriol in his face and voice was alarming and maddening.

BannedFromNarnia · 27/08/2017 22:37

I got cut up on a packed, slow going A road earlier by an Audi who didn't like me leaving a safe distance to the car in front. Not a massive distance, mind, I just wasn't up their arse.

So the driver of the Audi used a right hand turn lane at a roundabout to get in front of me, dangerously, and drove too close to the person in front, who slowed right down on purpose. I could see the Audi driver gesticulating and carrying on, it was hilarious.

There should be cortisol level testers for some drivers, honestly, they're idiots.

All I think when I encounter on of these dickheads is that they will likely have a heart attack from all the self induced stress

Lunaballoon · 28/08/2017 12:37

I usually smile sweetly with a slight head tilt when encountering arseholes like these. It infuriates them even more and hopefully speeds up the stress induced heart attack Smile
