I apologise if this is TMI for some!

Due on in a day or two and loose poo has arrived...anyone else get this beforehand?

I do have IBS and a little stressed which isn't helping, but I've noticed this in the past, too.
Oh and if that's not enough, the stress has triggered my fissure to join the party. Yum, fun 'bloody' times Wink

I do. I have IBS so all sorts of things do it. But definitely just before my period.

Roomster101 · 27/08/2017 09:36

Yes, it is often the first sign that I am about to start my period. Pregnancy was a welcome relief in that respect as the hormones work the other way!

MineKraftCheese · 27/08/2017 09:37

I also get period migraines which can leave me bed bound and non stop vomiting for 1-2 days. GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

MrsJayy · 27/08/2017 09:40

I learned about Javelin arse on mumsnet was a revelation that it wasn't just me anyway yes i get looser bowels just before my period just another thing we have to deal with

MrsJayy · 27/08/2017 09:43

I get the headache the night before i start im usually in bed by 7pm it starts about 3ish I know that is specific but every month for years 3pm headache 😕

gingerbeerd · 27/08/2017 09:45

If I'm somehow having a miraculously cramp-less month then no, as PPs have said, that must be the trigger

BumWad · 27/08/2017 09:46

Yea sometimes

I always feel really cold before my period starts too and during

Flumplet · 27/08/2017 09:46

Yes I get this too

TheLittleShirt · 27/08/2017 09:49

This is good to hear, as I had wondered if it was just me that this happened to.

shamoffour · 27/08/2017 09:55

Yep I get the same. Period poo and javelin arse. Oh the joys!!

LazyDailyMailJournos · 27/08/2017 09:55

Yep - on day one. I have PCOS so my periods are like a warzone anyway because I can have really randomly long cycles (85 days!).

I normally pray that I start at home because coming on when away is awful - with flooding, cramping and an upset tummy you just want your own bathroom!

Saracen · 27/08/2017 10:01

I used to get that problem, for a few years. Not now. The pharmacist seemed to think it was normal when I told him, in response to him questioning my bulk buy of diarrhoea tablets.

HappyAxolotl · 27/08/2017 10:04

Yes. I get severe period pain and horrific diarrhoea at the same time. It's interesting what a PP said about tilted uterus - I know I have a strangely positioned cervix so maybe my uterus follows its angle.

I know when I had my Mirena and was having 6-hour long periods with no cramping that I didn't get the bad guts so it sounds like there is something in that theory.

ILoveMillhousesDad · 27/08/2017 10:06

I don't have periods as I'm on cerazette, but yes. The plops and the back ache were awful.

OnlyGodKnowsWhy · 27/08/2017 10:18

Yep in the week before period, loose bowels, flu symptoms, headaches, overheating or underheating. Never mind the mental side, PMDD.

FlandersRocks · 27/08/2017 10:22

Period Poo...yes, every time.

flumpybear · 27/08/2017 10:29

It's hormonal I'm sure - I used to get constipated when pregnant, but suffered many miscarriages, diarrhoea always reminded me of this and if I got a little whilst pregnant was terrified I was having another miscarriage .... but wasn't always the case

MazDazzle · 27/08/2017 11:29

Yes, I do. It continues throughout my period too.

In fact, I'm on a romantic weekend with my husband, complete with period, cramps and running to the loo Sad.

Etymology23 · 27/08/2017 11:32

Yup, the whole thing always massively upsets my IBS. Bleugh :(

Nonibaloni · 27/08/2017 11:36

Me too, love MN for things like this because no one in real life ever admitted to it. Bunch of white hot pant wearing bicycling grinners. I hope day one is a weekend so I can wear pyjamas bottoms and skulk about the bathroom.

early30smum · 27/08/2017 11:55

I do too and for the first couple of days. Not fun.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 27/08/2017 11:57

Yes, I pee like a racehorse too. It's like everything in my lower body wants out at once.

confused123456 · 27/08/2017 12:00

I'm on the pill so I don't have proper periods, but even before I went on the pill, I never had that problem at all.

MaMisled · 27/08/2017 12:01

Yep. ..normal for me and my two DDS.

JulietNeverMetRomeo · 27/08/2017 12:22

kalinka I pee like a racehorse as well. Managed to nap for three hours yesterday so knew I was due on any minute, period started this morning and I'm just chilling out in the house basically lying down feeling sorry for myself in complete comparison to those tampon adverts......
