Always kind, laid back, funny. Just a sweet man I think. I like Kirstie too - with her massive rings and weird ideas about what constitutes a bargain .

Fine to have a fantasy about him, as long as you get that the Phil on tv is a performance. With a few exceptions, most presenters didn't get there by being lovely. They're pro's who have a certain persona they can turn on and off, and a general rule is that the nice ones are often arsier in real life, while the ones whose persona is to be an arse are often nicer than you'd think. You know what they say - never meet your heroes!

They filmed next door over a few days. Kirstie was just like she appears on screen, plus very polite and friendly. Phil was an arrogant jerk. Seemed as if his screen persona was very different from off camera.

Totally agree. I don't have a big issue with people hunting for food but I find it thoroughly distasteful when they gloat. Having photos taken with an animal you've just killed is so unattractive. I'm not into him at all. Apart form the hunting he's a property investor and landlord, so part of our housing problem too.

Phil sat at my friend's dining table and ate one of the cakes she's left for the crew. The potential buyer in that episode was not capable of being pleased.

One thing I'll always respect Phil Spencer for is that when his property search company hit problems in the recession, he paid the staff out of his own savings for six months in the hope that things would turn round before he had to start letting people go. That's decent.

I like them both and still enjoying watch LLL many years on.

I think the programme is getting s but tired and naff these days. I do like kirstie, although she is a bit 'PTA mum' for my liking, a bit twee, and a bit out of touch with real people. Love the Christmas craft specials though. Wasn't keen on do your house for free with all this amazing free stuff we just happen to have acquired that fits perfectly with your brief. I like secret agent because I love that sort of budget makeover show, but Phil can be a bit creepy with all his 'ooh there's nothing better than a nicely trimmed bush' talk.
