Always kind, laid back, funny. Just a sweet man I think. I like Kirstie too - with her massive rings and weird ideas about what constitutes a bargain Grin.

STBX can't stand them - especially Kirstie. Confused

Love Phil and Kirstie. I think they have a genuine friendship and that shines through - they've not been created as a team by some TV production company.

I love Kirstie's crafty programmes too and think she speaks an awful lot of sense about preferring older things and second-hand than flatpack MDF.

Can't stand Kevin McCloud - talks total bullshit. "Kevin and Doreen have created their eco-home out of cow pats, and it chimes perfectly with the local indigenous narrative of agricultural inspired alternative dwellings and creates a uniquely bespoke and stunning impact on this most rural and pleasant of Birmingham landscapes". Sod off.

Phil and George

My perfect property that would be

Brownsauceandsausages · 27/08/2017 09:58

Yes don't like Kevin's smarminess

thefalloutwillbeawful · 27/08/2017 09:59

Oh no jay55 - what did he do Sad. Don't ruin my illusions Grin!

There was blind item on Popbitch about a property presenter who liked to wear trousers cut extremely tight in the gentlemen's area to show off his prodigious manhood. It did sound remarkably like Phil.

GeekyWombat · 27/08/2017 10:02

I love Phil too.

We had to stop watching Location x 3 for a while in our house though. We were buying our home when I was heavily pregnant and in the run up had been mainlining reruns. The bit between offer accepted and getting the keys took six months. Six months. And we got the keys three days after my due date.

We used to watch their programmes, see them put in the offer for whichever couple and then hear 'eight weeks later, Percy and Pauline moved into their home...' It gave me the irrational pregnant lady shouty sweary rage to the point where DH refused to watch with me.

Phil just seems so calm and lovely though.

Brownsauceandsausages · 27/08/2017 10:03

Oh no Jay55 that's disappointing

A friend of mine hosted Kirsty for an unpaid charity event and was singing her praises (said she was punctual, "got" what was required in two mins flat, got stuck in etc).

pigeondujour · 27/08/2017 10:06

She's a real snob. The washing machine/kitchen thing was one - particularly nice when she called the people criticising her for it 'fuckwits'. There was also the one where she tweeted something really judgemental about seeing a guy eating a ham and cheese croissant and a coke for breakfast, then tried to pass it off as 'concern for the NHS' despite being visibly overweight herself. She repeatedly rows with mothers who point out that it's not as easy for all working mothers who don't have the same privileges as her.

MrsJoyOdell · 27/08/2017 10:07

I don't understand the Kirstie hate, I luff her Blush But then I also dream about joining the WI and making alllll the things so...

Love Phil too Smile

gabsdot · 27/08/2017 10:08

I really like their relationship. They come across as just best friends, brother and sister almost, no hint of sexual tension. It's unusual and quite nice

friendlyflicka · 27/08/2017 10:08

I absolutely love Phil. Always have. I like Kirsty but there are lots of women I like. Usually find men on TV a bit annoying.

stitchglitched · 27/08/2017 10:11

I don't like either if them. I can't stand Phil especially since that picture of him posing with the dead deer. Fair enough, hunt for meat but the utter joy he had at having killed an animal and how it was his 'lifelong dream' to shoot a deer made me feel a bit sick.

badbadhusky · 27/08/2017 10:13

Urgh. George Clarke makes my ovaries shrivel and a red mist descend. If a friend started seeing him, I would insist on meeting up with her solo.

I'm meh about Kirstie, Phil and Kevin. All annoying in their own way.

Floralnomad · 27/08/2017 10:15

I went off Phil when I realised he was into blood sports , went right down in my estimation . I don't mind location but the other kirstie programmes are just ridiculous - fill your house with crap for free as long as you have a few hundred skips and access to a blacksmith who works for nothing in your barn!

thefalloutwillbeawful · 27/08/2017 10:17

it was his 'lifelong dream' to shoot a deer made me feel a bit sick.

Sad

Phil into blood sports and tight trousers,,eugh, who'd have guessed. Shock

OneForTheRoadThen · 27/08/2017 10:21

I think he's awful. He's so awkward and when he tries to flirt or make an innuendo it makes my skin actually crawl. I loathed her too - massive Tory who has no idea how privileged she is. I really like the programme though.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 27/08/2017 10:22

Phil is ok but Kirstie makes me want to rip all the buttons off every item on clothing in my house, fashion an a-team style bazooka gun and fire them at her.

stitchglitched · 27/08/2017 10:22

I won't post the picture as it is quite upsetting, but if you google Phil Spencer hunting it comes straight up. I doubt anyone who looks at his grinning face could ever have a kind thought about him again.

Chiselle · 27/08/2017 10:22

Phil's sister is an extremely lovely vet. /Irrelevant

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 27/08/2017 10:23

Oh I've just realised she'll be fucking about on telly making Christmas crafts any day nowAngry

thefalloutwillbeawful · 27/08/2017 10:26

Okay - seen the hunting picture Shock

thefalloutwillbeawful · 27/08/2017 10:27

Might have to divorce Phil as well as H now.

whifflesqueak · 27/08/2017 10:33

I'll never forget Kirsty showing a property with some minor wear and tear and saying, "this is what happens when a property is tennanted."

No attempt made to keep the sneering contempt from her delivery.

GeekyWombat · 27/08/2017 10:34

Oh that's a horrible picture :(
