Just moved in and flooring in kitchen is vynl but isn't even stuck down anymore..
Falling over it all the time..
Is it the councils duty to replace it?
Quick enough to take the rent but happy to leave us tripping over loose flooring.

I doubt it, flooring is usually the tenants responsibility.

Jojo267 · 24/08/2017 17:28

I understand carpets etc but flooring in kitchen /bathroom was the cheap vinyl flooring

Flooring is the tenants responsibility at my council.

Namechangetempissue · 24/08/2017 17:28

I think tenants are responsible for flooring? My sister is a council tenant and I know she had to fit new flooring throughout at her cost when she moved in.
Vinyl should be fairly cheap to replace thankfully.

Auspiciouspanda · 24/08/2017 17:29

Including kitchen and bathroom.

Jojo267 · 24/08/2017 17:29

I don't think I should have to stick it down ..surely they should make sure it's safe before letting it out.

anyoldname76 · 24/08/2017 17:29

stick it down or replace it, we had to carpet and lay lino in our council house, the floors were shocking when we got the keys.

abbsisspartacus · 24/08/2017 17:29

Ours insist you have non slip flooring which they supply

WhamBarsArentAsFizzyAsTheyWere · 24/08/2017 17:30

Mine done it in my bathroom and I had been there for over two years. They replaced the whole floor with new tiles. So definitely call and check. I emailed them pictures.

Jojo267 · 24/08/2017 17:31
