Sorry MN but am going to have a bit of a laugh right now at DH’s expense. So- he wanted me to buy him some when it was about $3.25. I didn’t get round to it and he didn’t mention it again. Tonight I got to show him the current price of $2.50 and say to him, “Bet you’re glad I didn’t buy you any at the weekend.” He’s unimpressed that I can’t tell him if it’s at the floor now- can’t get through to him that I am not a trader

Incidentally I just checked the Dolly Parton website and you can indeed pay with Monero. The only problem is getting hold of the Monero. The number one recommended place on the Monero website is Kraken

Could you get MrNoofly some of the nicely-wrapped Ripple available at most supermarkets and see if he is mollified by it? My Ripple is causing me angst. It's allowable angst because I paid very little for it and so it doesn't matter to me if it fails (since I now feel it goes against the early crypto/anti-establishment way of things).

My ethical crypto fingers having been a bit singed by Ripple, so I am parking my plans to dabble in Ada and Iota until I can research them more, but am thinking of putting equally small amounts into Bitcoin/Bitcoin cash, depending on next week's tax bill. My future might be Doge especially with this nice Venetian pointy hat/canine mash-up to inspire me.

Or even this one (this could go on for a while)

I have bought more Doge to keep me entertained while Bitcoin trades sideways. I am in the community spirit and have bought it to give it away. I might change my user name here to be Doge related. If I can remember my MN password, that is. I can keep my coins safe, yet can’t remember my MN password.

Anyway, today I am off the cryptos and back into the real world. There’s a new share listing at 14:30 GMT that I want to get my hands on. It’s not yet showing on HL which is making me twitchy and am hoping it appears like magic at 2:30. Hopefully my cryptos won’t do anything extreme in my absence...

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to sell on coin base please, we sold last Wednesday, and had to send euro to some bank to verify account but still nothing yet..

Never used Coinbase, I'm afraid. I hope the money comes through soon though.

I hope you get your money back from these Coinbase people. If you don't who exactly do you complain to. So much for cryptocurrency being instant and convenient.

Its because we have to verify our account. I would like to think once this was done transactions would be much quicker who knows.

I'm worried because we have not done it before and never expected it to take this long! Some bank addresses in Estonia ... One prays its legit.

Coinbase is supposed to be completely snowed under right now with the number of new registrations. For whatever reason they haven’t temporarily suspended new registrations like some other exchanges. You might be best either tweeting them and/or posting on the Coinbase reddit - reddit would at least give you an idea as to whether there are loads in a similar position and possibly helpful suggestions.

Just found this thread. My DH and I have been doing this for a while. Started on £1000, now Up to £8500.

I think we got out of ripple at the right time but still have a small amount. Some of the predictions are crazy.

Only dodgy dealers, gamblers and drug dealers mess with 'Bitcoins'.
