not really, it could have been yet another trans thread. Could have been about cats.

BifsWif · 21/08/2017 20:06

Really? That was your first thought when you saw the title, cats?

Do you take pleasure in taking the joy out of something that is essentially a bit of fun for someone excited after a first scan? And yes, I say that as someone who has suffered with fertility issues and has had six losses up to yet.

namechanger2735 · 21/08/2017 20:17

No one knows anyone's story. If you don't like something don't look. I'm not being offensive or nasty to anyone, why make it a problem. Offended by pregnancy is a new one to me.

Batfurger · 21/08/2017 20:20

Jesus. Can't you get your attention in real life?

toastandbutterandjam · 22/08/2017 00:14

OP, will you find out the sex?
My mum didn't and was fully prepared for two sons because she'd spent 36 weeks of her pregnancies (me and sister were both born at 36 weeks and there's only 4 minutes between the times we were born) so she was surprised to have girls.

Someone my mum worked with was so convinced I was going to be a boy, she brought my mum a blue blanket with 'baby boy' written on it Grin
Is your daughter excited to have a sibling? or is she too young to understand?!

If you find out the sex, please tell me! I'd love to know if we were right or wrong! Flowers

namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 06:43

toast I will find out! Obviously il be blessed whatever I have but just thought of them wearing matching outfits, having a girly room punching each other when they're older over makeup I'd love a girl. She doesn't understand but she has a younger cousin that she loves so I think she'll be a good big sister!
Did you have to wear a few blue babygrows to get use out of them?Grin

OP posts:
CuppaSarah · 22/08/2017 07:13

Nub and skull theory said my second was a girl.

His penis said he was a boy! Grin

TrojanWhore · 22/08/2017 07:16

Intersex.

It's commoner than you think.

namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 07:17

"Did you have to wear a few blue babygrows to get use out of them?"

What on earth is wrong with blue baby grows?

Movingonuppppp · 22/08/2017 07:17

Boy

namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 07:19

edith nothing is wrong with blue. I've bought DD blue baby grows and outfits and often been told she looks like a boy..I'm just saying if you thought your baby was a boy there was probably a few blue bits to get through! God.

Thank you moving

OP posts:
Oysterbabe · 22/08/2017 07:19

That's a girl.

namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 07:21

oyster I'm starting to think so!
I put the pictures on a private nub theory page and everyone said girl, and been looking at skull theory and that seems to indicate the same

OP posts:
Oysterbabe · 22/08/2017 07:22

You can only see the nub in this picture and it's flat and straight.

to rely on MN to tell me the gender
namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 07:25

Yeah that's the one. That means girl doesn't it?

OP posts:
CanIBuffalo · 22/08/2017 07:25

Rabbit. Look-you can see its long ears.

CanIBuffalo · 22/08/2017 07:26

Oo no sorry, didn't have my glasses on.
Mouse then.Grin

Katmeifyoucan · 22/08/2017 07:28

Boy

Oysterbabe · 22/08/2017 07:29

Yep girl.
I put my pics on one of those nub theory groups and they were 100% right.

namechanger2735 · 22/08/2017 07:32

They do seem accurate!

OP posts:
choochooo · 22/08/2017 07:35

The 'sex' not gender
Gender is what the child identifies with

I really hate these types of posts in AIBU as there are separate topics for this kind of post and I'm trying to avoid pregnancy/scan posts and pictures due to recurrent mc.

Congratulations OP - I haven't a clue if it's a boy or girl. I say hedge your bets and call it Frederick or Frederica.

mummabubs · 22/08/2017 07:54

Hi OP, not going to take a guess on sex as I have no clue!, but just to maybe help clarify when people said they are offended by pregnancy stuff on MN and you said that's new to you it could be that people either have difficulty trying to conceive or have experienced miscarriages/loss, therefore seeing pregnancy-related topics is really distressing for them. Could also explain why you're receiving a frosty reaction for posting in AIBU just for traffic when you'd already asked in the relevant forum. Best of luck with your pregnancy 😊

VodkaRevelation · 22/08/2017 08:10

Boy or girl.

If nub theory and skull theory worked the professionals would use them, surely. Even at the 20 week scan sonographers can't always give a reliable answer to the sex (not gender) question.

Also, if you do have two girls, they might not want to wear matching outfits or share an interest in make up.

Good luck with your pregnancy.

AccrualIntentions · 22/08/2017 08:14

A thousand times this. No one is offended by pregnancy, they might just be trying to avoid a daily onslaught of scan photos and the like. I've been there myself and it sucks. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
