To HATE Child Genius?

DH and dd are watching and I can't stand it. All those poor kids, crying from the pressure their egomaniac parents have put them under. IT DOESN'T MATTER!! Surely you can be proud of your lovely smart kids without pimping them out to tv. Makes me raging and sad in equal measure.

You're quite right, diamon49, and I apologise. I think it was because of the fact that it was fairly obvious from the start who the winner was going to be and I was really hoping someone else would-very childish of me. I must stop watching rubbish tv and not get so over-invested in it that I post something like that.
It's a pity you can't delete your own posts, like you can on other sites, as I tried to do so after I'd written it, and realised that it wasn't a nice thing to have written, because, as you've so rightly pointed out, these are actual people and not some fictional characters in a TV soap or whatever.
Apologies once more, and a mental note to self to resist posting ridiculously late at night when thought processes may not be quite up to speed!
