Don't get me wrong I'm not an unhappy person by any means and I have a lovely circle of friends (of varying ages) who "get me" but the older I get the more the little, tiny things PISS ME OFF. You don't even need to answer as I know I'm BU but the feelings are real. Things such as people dropping litter or putting their feet on the seats on trains have always been up there but is it weird to be apoplectic with rage inside about such things as?:

Grown adults using the term "simples"?

Ditto "Snowflake"?

Haribo adverts where adults are dubbed as babies?

That kid that keep harping on in a simpering voice about how long Daddy is taking with the washing up bottle?

Young people (DD included) saying "like" every third word in a sentence?

People taking pads and pens to the most brief meetings at work?

Same people asking a thousand irrelevant questions when everyone just wants to go home?

Having a brief comment about old people annoying me deleted from MN when all around people are calling each other "see you next Tuesdays?"

Women on adverts having multiple orgasms about air freshener?

People checking sheafs of lottery tickets at the local shop during the lunch hour. Or ever, actually?

Any train station outside of London not having a self-service ticket machine?

People thinking their birthday should be some kind of national holiday?

People in front of you staring at the ATM like they just landed on Mars?

People turnng up at your castle house unnanounced?

Constant references to "Brexit" - or the DM in general?

Stupid new buzzwords like 'babymoon' and 'throwback snap (i.e a photo taken a week ago).

Plastic chairs.

Breastfeeding Nazis (and I breastfed).

Prams with the kid's name emblazoned on the quilt and hinges.

Asda changing the tinned mixed-bean recipe to cut out all sugar/flavour?

Lorraine Kelly?

Idiots always winning the National Lottery?

Ok, all irrational and I know I'll be flamed off here but that felt SO GOOD.

Norks,

You are my virtual friend re the grumpy old women.

PurpleDragon76 · 18/08/2017 22:14

I'm with you. I can feel my inner rage brewing far more readily these days. The main one being my fucking neighbours being up their own arses! I don't want your base turned up so high, stop hanging shit over the fence into my garden. Stop the bloody dogs barking! I just want quiet. No noise at all. Not too much to ask surely?

strawberrisc · 18/08/2017 22:14

Er, he died today.

Saysomething88 · 18/08/2017 22:18

Wine mommy- your Bruce Forsyth reference- you know he died today yeah?

ShoesHaveSouls · 18/08/2017 22:19

And Brucie is not allowed on the list. I loved Brucie.

strawberrisc · 18/08/2017 22:20

"WineMommy" I feel you're here for shits and giggles. Don't you just love school holidays? Ooh that's another one for the list.

I'd not idea about the Tuesday thing BlushBlush

grannytomine · 18/08/2017 22:21

I'm old and none of that annoys me. If people are doing silly things I just laugh at them, it is great fun because they get so annoyed and it makes me laugh more. I once had a woman nip in front of me as a joined the checkout queue at Christmas. She indicated a space with her arms and said, "My husband is here." He wasn't she was just saving a space for him. I said, "Is he" and started to laugh. She got so annoyed and I carried on laughing. She got very indignant and stormed off. Actually it still makes me laugh to think of her standing there with her imaginary husband and his imaginary trolley.

strawberrisc · 18/08/2017 22:24

Grannytomine. You sound like the kind of old person who IS a menace...in the best possible way! x

Oh those wanky adverts! "I didn't even know Oral B made a toothpaste!"

Oh really? Well what did you think they fucking made, cars? Fuck off you simpering cunt, you can't act for shit.

God this thread is really bringing out the rage, I had no idea I was this angry about this many things. Good show, OP!

strawberrisc · 18/08/2017 22:27

Starry is that the one where her teeth were perfect at the beginning and no different at the end but metaphorically you want to punch each of them in? Individually?

Pantryboy · 18/08/2017 22:28

Totally fin agree with you. Well said OP

StarryCorpulentCunt · 18/08/2017 22:28

The very same.

chocolateworshipper · 18/08/2017 22:28

Young people saying "like" every third word in a sentence?

Oh I am SO with you on this one

PersianCatLady · 18/08/2017 22:29

Not being able to smoke in the car when the kids are in it
Are you posting from 1970??

Redadmiralflyer · 18/08/2017 22:29

Stupid slug eyebrows and people caking themselves in makeup to the point they are putting highlighter on the tip of their nose. Wrong!!

When people call their 'little princess' prinny for short

People who write big speeches on Facebook about how much their partner means to them and how blessed they are followed by I love you babe.....shut the fuck up!

People who complain about getting junk mail to the the point they shout abuse at the postie yet never bother to ring royal mail up to opt out of receiving the junk mail! Because obviously shouting at the postal worker makes you feel powerful....also the time it took to shout and wave the junk infront of the postie you could have saved your own time by putting it in the sodding bin.

Juice plus, forever living and all that shit.

When you walk into shops and get pounced on and followed round. Yes lush I'm talking about you. The poor staff are probably sick of being snapped at by customers wanting peace to shop. Stop telling your staff to pounce on the public. It puts people off! Plus your bathbombs gave me thrush.

SouthernNorthernGirl · 18/08/2017 22:39

Ooh. I like this thread.

People who post on facebook crap that the person it's intended for is never going to see, hence making it an attention seeking announcement, rather than the heartfelt message it's supposed to be. Eg, 'been 10 years since I lost you - always in my heart etc etc, miss you and love you' or ' Happy 1st Birthday to my precious princess - so proud of you'

People using percentages over the possible amount; 110% Confused

Going back to the facebook thing, what's with this 'all de world' malarkey?

Mrscaindingle · 18/08/2017 22:41

I'm with you on this op, I was just having a similar conversation with my sister tonight. I would also like to add to the list every fucker trying to get money out of me ALL THE BASTARD TIME. I recently had to register some new appliances for the warranty which was apparently free. All of them started to offer me extra cover for "peace of mind...just an extra £36 (or whatever) a month" No I don't want it....why ever not? ... Because this is supposed to be a FREE warranty.
And don't get me started on Apple, Norton security, Microsoft etc who helpfully take money out of my account that I don't even know what it's for and then there's no bastard person I can actually speak to to sort it out and have to send an email into the ether that never gets answered......and breathe.

WashBasketsAreUs · 18/08/2017 22:42

Starry Corpulent just reading about the oral b advert and it came on the tv. Snorting with laughter here, had to explain to dh why

SouthernNorthernGirl · 18/08/2017 22:42

Oh! Just wanted to add one. The fact that everyone seems to have to be either an introvert or an extrovert Confused

WashBasketsAreUs · 18/08/2017 22:45

Oh and journeys? You travel to Salisbury, that's a journey. You have some event in your life, that's not a bloody journey!

strawberrisc · 18/08/2017 22:45

Ooh. Those FB posts in coloured boxes. As if to say that "this is the most important thread you'll read today. Or ever". Usually the most ambiguous too.
