I am not tidying up AGAIN!

So at 7am I started tidying up before the kids (aged 2. 4. And 5)woke up.
They woke up at 8am down stairs spotless! Within 10 minutes it looks like a bombs gone off! So I tidied it all up again. Husband said God you wouldn't think 3 kids live here it's immaculate....
So at 11.30 my husband decides to start making lunch for everyone (he hardly ever cooks)
So he used 4+ pots and pans so many knife and folks and spoon ect.
He did the children a beef burger even tho I told him they won't eat a full one and they will defiantly won't eat a bap. So he gives it then anyway...
There is now food everywhere off the kids chucking it AWAY. Dirty pots and pans all over the kitchen. And husband has done fuck all. So he is now thinking I will be cleaning it up. Well I'm not. I'm fed up of wanting me house clean for my kids but this is the thanks I get!
I clean up at least 5 times in 1 day! And now I've had enough! Aibu to go on strike!

Myotherprofile that's a really good idea.! Only problem is, is that I have a corner sofa.
And we don't have a dining room so table is in the living room other wise there wouldn't be food under there lol.
It's mainly my 2 year old if he doesn't like the veg when your not looking he sometimes sneakily chuck it so no one can see it.
I'll try and put a picture up of my living room so everyone can see what I mean x

Well done you for acknowledging that lowering your standards would help. Hope you have had a more relaxed day today.

I'm just like you - I need a clean and tidy house all the time but when DSD is here I have to relax about it otherwise I'd explode!

To be honest Ive felt lost today. But I suppose in time I'll be fine. Just takes getting used to, i feel lazy as I'm not doing anything tho. Well we're off to take the kids to a birthday party tomorrow at a play barn so I will be Defo be chilling then and having a laugh with some parents 😀 and no cleaning 😉😉😉 x

bills - if you have a labrador, of course you don't have food under the sofa!

PickAChew · 20/08/2017 00:42

Can you sit the food thrower at the far end, away from the living area? Easier to sweep up mess without moving stuff, then.

Ilovechocolate111 · 20/08/2017 08:54

As you can see in the picture I have moved the messy ones furthest away from the sofa (blue booster chairs ).
Anyway we'll see how today goes. Kids just woke up and I haven't done a thing 😀

If I were you, I'd invest in one of those dyson cordless stick hoovers. Digital slim think it's called?

We used to have laminate floors and I was sick to death of seeing crumbs etc everywhere. it was the best purchase I've ever made. Quick whip around without the hassle of lugging a big Hoover around and plugs and wires etc.

Ilovechocolate111 · 20/08/2017 18:40

They are very dear. I'd rather buy the kids toys then another Hoover lol x

But that's a good idea. Well so far today they haven't chucked any food and I've only Hovered up once. Since I've had words with dh him and the kids have been better 😀 they all have cleaned up when asked and and dh also helped the kids put their toys away. I think dh hates it when I give him a telling off lol... I think it might have something to do with me telling him if he doesn't start being my husband and helping me just a little bit when we going camping tomorrow I won't do a thing. I said he can cook clean and change the kids nappies lol or it could be cuz I said I'll put him on a sex ban hahaha xx
