A doctor who sees women as a series of fuck holes. What about womens pleasure. What about sorting out the pain they are in caused by these meshes?

This scandal terrifies me.

So many women have suffered.

I remember reading about stress incontinence a few years back, and how women shouldn't live with it, but seek medical interventions instead.

But this has been the result. It really worries me how much money is made from encouraging women to have invasive treatments that have terrible side effects.

AlpacaLipsNow · 17/08/2017 15:56

The whole thing is an absolute scandal. The worst thing is women aren't listened to and are dismissed as it being 'in the mind'. This mesh has ruined lives.

liquidrevolution · 17/08/2017 20:06

Horrific but sadly not unexpected attitude from male medical professionals.

Papafran · 17/08/2017 20:13

Disgusting. Wonder what would happen if there was a medical treatment that accidentally caused lots of men to suffer impotence and a female doctor laughed and said they should try wearing a strap-on for sex instead.

HelenaDove · 17/08/2017 21:25

Good comparison Papafran. If it was that way around i bet it would make the front pages.

That is utterly fucking vile. Hmm

As if it isn't bad enough that the women have had to have them in the first place, they are told 'take it up the jacksy if your vaj is now out of order, because of the mesh.'

What a cunt. Angry

WombOfOnesOwn · 17/08/2017 22:09

Yes, even as little as a few MONTHS ago I have seen people using the "get freedom from bladder leaks and stress incontinence" line, acting as if it's an easy, risk-free way to get relief from a common female condition.

I understand that some women have gotten these procedures because of major prolapses and other things that clearly needed to be taken care of, but the women I know who have suffered from mesh side effects were simply experiencing stress incontinence while sneezing or coughing. These meshes were being pushed in the United States, where I live, at a truly staggering rate, for a wide range of problems.

A woman took her own life after botched vaginal mesh surgery.

i had mesh for a few years, its a miserable way to live

"women as a series of fuck holes" - yes exactly. I'm beginning to wonder if there are many men who don't think of women like this. Seriously. It's really hard to realise this, but god, the evidence is overwhelming at the moment.

madja · 31/05/2018 02:37

I just read the article. He took out her fucking ovaries as well! He actually said he figured she wouldn't need them and they were 'in the way'
WTAF.

HelenaDove · 31/05/2018 20:22
