all the gushing over him, I've seen better looking men in Tesco

ok, so he's all muscled up, so would most men if they had his lifestyle and money

he's very ordinary looking yet all women are meant to go weak at the knees when he's mentioned

I just don't get it at all.

I think it's because he is quite ordinary-looking, combined with the twinkle in his eyes and the way he looks in tight trunks, that makes him so very, very attractive.

If we all found the same people attractive, the human race would be in big trouble. You're not supposed to fancy the same men as all your friends do.

zukiecat · 16/08/2017 16:09

He does nothing for me either OP

Now, if you'd said Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred in The Last Kingdom

Notknownatthisaddress · 16/08/2017 16:11

YANBU. Don't see it either. His 'sharp, light' blue eyes don't do it for me. I think they just look a bit odd. And he looks 5 years older than he is. And I really don't like him as James Bond. I nearly cried this morning when I heard he was going to be Bond again. I was hoping for Tom Hardy, Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston, or Idris Elba. Sad

Really annoyed.

Funny really, but a year-ish ago, he said he would rather eat shit than be Bond again (or words to that effect,) and yet here he is. Hmm

Couldn't get any other acting work eh Dan?! Wink

Julia001 · 16/08/2017 16:11

Give me Tormond Giantsbane (GOT) and/or Tom Hardy anyday.

PollyFlint · 16/08/2017 16:15

He doesn't do a great deal for me, I have to say. He's a good actor (he was brilliant in Our Friends In The North all those years ago) but I don't think he's great as Bond and I don't actually fancy him.

Having said that, I don't like Tom Hardy or Tom Hiddlestone either.

If I had to cast someone as Bond I'd pick Michael Fassbender.

butterfly56 · 16/08/2017 16:17

I didn't see the attraction with him either and thought what was all the fuss about.....until I watched "The Girl with Dragon Tattoo" and "Layer Cake" late last year then my opinion changed and I decided to watch his Bond Movies, none of which I had seen, The more I have watched him the more I like him.Wink

ScarletForYa · 16/08/2017 16:18

I'm with you OP. He's not ugly or anything, just an ordinary man that has worked up some muscle.

Shadow666 · 16/08/2017 16:18

He's such a miserable bastard. He's a good actor though. I haven't actually seen any of his Bond films. He gets paid a bloody fortune for them so I can see why he keeps doing them.

Bluntness100 · 16/08/2017 16:18

I've seen better looking men in Tesco

Blimey which Tesco do you go to then? I think he is gorgeous. Very doable...

WhooooAmI24601 · 16/08/2017 16:20

YABU. He is delicious.

I agree he's not conventionally great looking but he's got a certain something that I quite like.

sassolino · 16/08/2017 16:22

I actually think he made a perfect James Bond. The scene in Casino Royale where he sits in the shower with Vesper, trembling from shock, and starts kissing her fingertips and then takes them in his mouth, now that scene I find beautifully erotic.

Tom Hiddlestone and Aidan Turner leave me completely indifferent.

Maudlinmaud · 16/08/2017 16:28

My dsis loves him and Tom Hardy, I don't see ithe in either of them. But I like Martin Freeman so what do I know.

Notknownatthisaddress · 16/08/2017 16:43

Now I found that bit repugnant. Sticking her fingers in his mouth! Confused She could have just had them up her nose - or up her arse.

NotTheDuchessOfCambridge · 16/08/2017 16:53

Nope. Can't stand him.

nina2b · 16/08/2017 16:56

Don't get the hype either. Nor the Tom Hardy thing.

Gladys123 · 16/08/2017 16:58

He looks like Sid James. Or a potato.

Ilook at Tom Hardy and see him as a fat old man: he just doesn't do it for me. Daniel Craig? There is definitely something about him.

Melfish · 16/08/2017 17:04

zukiecat I quite agree, I'd much prefer Uhtred or Erik from the Last Kingdom to come and rescue me. DC, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston are too clean cut for me!

Ijustwantaquietlife · 16/08/2017 17:09

I never even thought his body was that great. Decent amount of muscle but little definition. Many of the guys at my gym are in better shape.

Strokethefurrywall · 16/08/2017 17:16

I was hoping for Tom Hardy, Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston, or Idris Elba

Totally agree with this (except Tom Hiddleston, he's a bit too weedy for me).

I definitely don't get the Daniel Craig thing. I'd rather his wife honestly, she's gorgeous. He looks like an old potato.

No! That is grossly insulting. Bet he doesn't cackle for a start.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 16/08/2017 18:02

I think he's the most boring Bond since the beginning of Bond. He has nothing on Pierce Brosnan!

LisaMed1 · 16/08/2017 18:14

I liked Casino Royale. I got the impression that if he walked into the roughest pub in Toxteth he would walk out again just fine, which I don't always get with all the Bonds.

I think he can act, if he's given the script, but I think he gets away with a lot with his pout.

bridgetoc · 16/08/2017 18:31

Daniel Craig? Yes please.........
