Long story short, was bored of my hair colour and dh reminded me that I had bought a dye way back when and should use it.

Now sat crying/laughing as 1) its not a brown/copper its full on orange!!!! 2) I have to leave the house to get another dye to cover this monstrosity.

Dh is not making the situation anybetter by laughing at me, would it be unreasonable to shave his eyebrows off in his sleep because technically this is his fault. (He's shaved his head so cant shave that lol)

Please tell me im not the only one to get disastrous results from diy beauty treatments.

Do you remember Sun In, the spray that you put on your hair and the sun should lighten it to beautiful blonde hues?

Plenty of photos from the late 80's early 90's of myself and my orange haired friends in our quest to look like Wendy James from Transvision Vamp.

I tried to dye mine chocolate brown from blonde in the 90s...I dyed it khaki green instead...i then put "chilli red" over the green which made it bright orange but at the time I was grateful for that lol

Thought a nice light brown all over colour would save me some money. Also orange. Had to buy dark brown to cover it. It was a terrible job.

At school I put tiny plaits in my hair and then couldn't undo them when I'd slept on them. So just cut them off at the root. My nickname was Mr Majeka for a school year.

Also had a stubble rash from overenthusiastic teenage snogging. Thought clinique clarifying lotion would help that. Chemical burn. Oozing wound. Did not fix it. Spent a lot of the next fortnight covering my chin with my hand saying I'd over exfoliated with a boy's chin.

I once tried to wax my armpit hair. When I pulled it off all the skin started to come of too, so I had to leave it and wait for it to come off on its on

My armpit was crunchy for ages

Dyed my hair red at school, changed mind, used Vosene to naturally remove it, went orange!

Had a bad reaction to some posh spa facial and my face was like a red balloon. The product had "red pepper" in it; what idiot thought smearing chilli over someone's face was a good idea?

There was the haircut where the hairdresser looked dubiously at it when she'd finished and said, "Maybe it will look better when it's been washed."

It didn't. I wore a hat for a while.
