'Why do mummies have to have such huge massive fat tummies?'

Along with helpful cunt exMIL this morning chirpily 'I am a bit worried about how much you want another baby, are you sure you aren't too fat to conceive now?'

Luckily last week I had an epiphany and I have been back to my diet 100% this week, but I do have 4 stone to lose.

Please can you cheer me up with similar tales of child honesty???

I'm just focusing on the time aged 6 that I told DM that she smelt like wet dog... 🙈

DS2 once told me "You have two smiles Mummy, one here (pointing to actual smile) and one here" (pointing to line where chin meets jowly double chin). That was like a giant hug.

DS1 once said to me "remember when you used to be thin, Mum". I think I lay in the foetal position eating a double decker in response.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 15/08/2017 19:29

My DN once said that she 'loved Aunty Piglet because her tummy is like a pillow' Shock Good job I love her to bits.

I had to do a primary placement on my PGCE. I did a week in EYFS. A little boy said on my last day "Miss when I grow up I want to have a moustache just like you" I was struggling with a hormonal imbalance and had just been diagnosed with pcos, I went and cried. 😂😂

Dustbunny1900 · 15/08/2017 19:32

When DS was four, the song "that's what makes you beautiful" by one direction came on..he goes "you know what makes you beautiful mommy?"
"What, honey ??" (Thinking it was going to be something sweet)
"All your makeup!" Confused

We were at the beach and his little friend looks at the left side of my tummy "whoa look at those tears in your skin!!" (My stretch-marked side)
DS goes , proudly, "I did that!!" Grin

"Your teeth look like corn kernels!"

Oysterbabe · 15/08/2017 19:34

Random man: Watch out for that lady running Olivia
Olivia: Jogging Daddy, she's jogging.

Fuck off you little shit.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 15/08/2017 19:35

Loving these!
Dd1 (then aged 2) in a (very slow moving) lift with one other passenger: " Mummy, is that a MAN or a WOMAN? " I didn't know! "Why aren't you answering me, mummy? I want to know!"
That lift ride seemed to last an eternity!

DeleteOrDecay · 15/08/2017 19:35

My 4yo asked if I had another baby in my tummy the other day. I said "no, why?" And she said because my tummy is "REALLY big"Hmm

Thanks kid. Granted I have 3 stone to lose but still.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 15/08/2017 19:38

Oh, and a friend of mine when very little in a bus. Lady got on with fur coat and hat, obviously pleased with herself "Look mummy- it's a WOMBLE!!"

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 15/08/2017 19:39

DD loves to sit and count my spots for me. Blush

She also refers to nipples as our spots. She often asks to see mine whilst out and about, really loudly. "Mummy, can I see your spots? The ones under your top?"

Children are delightful.

Equimum · 15/08/2017 19:40

When I started primary school, I apparently told my mum that could always see she was there at the end of the day before I got to her, because she was the old one. She's never forgiven me, and frequently brings it up, still in a very hurt manner.

PoppyTree · 15/08/2017 19:41

Me and my daughter went to visit a woman once, when we were going to buy a heated clothes airer we had seen in the local paper. The house stunk of stale milk, stale ciggies, beer, stale sweat, and just a general skanky smell.

As we walked into the hall (and the woman was walking into the kitchen,) my daughter said 'God it smells horrible in here, like a wheelie bin!' Shock

The woman turned around, and I was like Blush She looked like Hmm

I smiled (awkwardly,) and said 'oooh, nice snake!' whilst pointing at a huge snake in a glass tank she had in the hall. 'It's in here!' she snapped sharply (referring to the heated clothes airer.) I said 'ok I'll take it thanks,' and handed her the tenner she wanted for it.' She just took the tenner off me, handed me the airer, and showed me to the door, without saying another word. I said 'byeee, thank you.'

Nothing. No response whatsoever. She just shut the door! Confused

#awkward

My then 5yo DD when a friend of mine did my makeup: "Mum, I think you should just stop trying to look beautiful."

Most comments roll off me but I admit that stung.

CashelGirl · 15/08/2017 19:45

" Mummy, you're as cuddly as Beymax". Beymax, the big fat robot.

Gemi33 · 15/08/2017 19:45

7yr old ds came and gave me a hug, looked up adoringly at me, then expression changed to puzzled as he said "mum, I never knew ladies could grow beards!" We'd just got back from a camping trip so I hadn't veeted my few stray hairs Gandalf beard for a bit.

NotPennysBoat815 · 15/08/2017 19:48

Long boobs Grin

SparklyUnicornPoo · 15/08/2017 19:49

I work in a primary school, am really quite fat and missing a tooth.

"Miss, when you run your tummy is like jelly"
"How much does the tooth fairy bring for adult teeth?"
"You are much more squidgy than my mum"
"you have make up on, you look weird"
"what was it like before we had TV?" (I'm 29)
"My mum goes to the gym on Thursdays... (pause)... It's this place you go to to not be fat"
While chatting to some girls about the gymnastics they were doing on the field "I'm not being rude but, I think your arms might snap if you did a cartwheel"

Hmmalittlefishy · 15/08/2017 19:50

Ds age 3 'when I'm a grown up I want lines on my face like you!
Friends ds in the barbers' I want my hair like that man there non on the top and just all round the sides'

PicardsCombOver · 15/08/2017 19:52

Not kids. I really should be picked on by kids but they must be polite or scared of me round here. Five grown men have referred to me as 'Grandma/Nanny' ... I'm 28.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 15/08/2017 19:52

I'm 2.5 weeks pp. Dc3(4) "your tummy has gone down quite a lot since BabyBernardMark5 was born Mummy but it is still quite big & your bottom too & boobies are HUGE".

imjusthereforasec · 15/08/2017 19:52

Had a friends little say "your really fat" her mum was mortified and told her off only for her daughter to then say "well you say it" Shock

With Dsis - aged about 6 and 4 I think. Saying goodbye to our parents as they headed out for a black tie do circa 1978 (fashion for asymmetric kind of frilly hems). She had a silk corsage. She was/is very pretty!

Me: mum, why are you wearing rags?
Sis: does your flower squirt water?

Greyingmumto3 · 15/08/2017 20:00

When my daughter was much younger she started sobbing " I don't want to grow up and have big flappy boobies like you mummy " .
