Sometimes everything just gets on top of me - ds' behaviour, dp's attitude, every day life. Just a few days alone, peace and quiet would do me fine. Alcohol not necessary but preferential...

Would it be possible to go away for a few days? How old is your son? What kind of attitude does your partner have?

Imperial, hi, think you commented on my other thread (the one about my uni issues). I think I'm going to ask for a few days away for my birthday (January), not even abroad or far but just a couple of days away from home in peace and not worrying about everything that needs doing and planning. My son is suspected of being autistic -but they wont diagnose till 5- so has a lot of social and behavioural issues. He's also partially deaf and having speech and language therapy. I know it's not his fault and I don't blame him for the majority of it (when he isn't just acting out because he doesn't get his own way) but it is tough. As for my partner, he's currently away in Canada with the army but not back for a few months. He's just being generally arsey, I think partly due to tiredness from training, being away from me and his friends and family and normal issues on top of that.
