DH and I are going to a wedding next weekend so he brought new trousers and shirt (see attached picture) because it being in the middle of august we thought it would be warm.
However looking at the forecast it's going to be bloody cold and we're now thinking he's going to need something else with it, but I don't want to buy a jacket that matches his trousers for £££ when he's basically going to wear it for the ceremony outside then go inside for the reception and it sit on he back of a chair for the rest of the day.

Would a jumper/cardigan be ok or is it too casual for a wedding?
Thank you in advance

I would tough it out and not bother getting anything extra. It's summer

GiBlues · 14/08/2017 16:37

I think he should too Cherry

Are they trousers or jeans? They look very casual for a wedding.

GiBlues · 14/08/2017 18:31

They're suit trousers but he just didn't buy the whole suit

Congrats on the weight loss!

Is he going to stay his current weight or does he still have more to loose?

Either way, Asda do a surprisingly good navy suit.

Or get a navy blazer - he'll get oodles of wear from it

UnmentionedElephantDildo · 14/08/2017 19:18

For example, this one

direct.asda.com/george/mens/suit-shop/mens-suits/slim-fit-suit-navy/SET2405,default,pd.html

Jacket £35, trousers £15. And you really wouldn't think it was that cheap (DH had one duri his weight loss journey when the fat suits looked awful but he wasn't yet at target; didn't want to spend much but equally didn't want to look like a shiny spiv at work)

Thank you all for the help, we finally found this and managed to get to jacket and trousers for under £40!Grin

How about scouting the local charity shops for one?
