To be irritated by Mo Farah getting his children on the track for photos...

I'm probably bring irrationally irritated but I get annoyed by all sports people who bring their children onto the sports "arena" - whether the track or the snooker hall or wherever - when they're doing the photo call. Lovely to hear them thank their families for their support but....

I think it's lovely and you sound a misery for begrudging him that time with them. He did his BBC interview with the youngest in his arms.

timeisnotaline · 13/08/2017 10:15

What else irritates you? Cars daring to drive on the road you happen to live on? People shopping in your local supermarket? Happy looking families at cafes? This is nuts.

kaytee87 · 13/08/2017 10:17

And I thought I was a miserable git sometimes

WhingyNinja · 13/08/2017 10:18

I can't even begin to understand why this would annoy anyone!? Don't be so bloody miserable.

RandomDent · 13/08/2017 10:18

Take some Resolve and go back to bed. :o

AvoidingCallenetics · 13/08/2017 10:19

I'm another one who thinks it is lovely to see him acknowledge the support system which enabled them to have a successful career.

Dailystuck71 · 13/08/2017 10:19

He's away 6 months of the year training. I don't blame him. He wants them to be part of it. He needs to do his training at altitude to be able to compete the way he does.

Marathons should be easier on him and his family.

Farrah rocks.

Deadsouls · 13/08/2017 10:21

Yup YABU god of all the things to be irritated by in the world

Deadsouls · 13/08/2017 10:21

However OP, I suspect you know that

missiondecision · 13/08/2017 10:22

Did you piss the bed this morning ?

I love the relationship he has with his eldest nonbio daughter, she obviously loves the socks off him and him off her, and the little boy is a poppet ,as are the twins, one of them had a bit of a sneezing moment last night, so cute.

strawberrisc · 13/08/2017 10:25

My Dad used to work in a bank. I would attend "take your daughter to work" days and enjoyed hearing stories about him from his staff who clearly loved him. I also and attended a night where he received an award and I was so proud. You're being really weird IMO.

Deadsouls · 13/08/2017 10:26

PLUS you miserable git, he's retiring so these are the last opportunities he will get

Charley50 · 13/08/2017 10:26

To love they way he goes straight to his family and hugs them all. Love the way he includes them in everything. Warms the cockles of my heart.

Charley50 · 13/08/2017 10:27

I love, not to love!

Sara107 · 13/08/2017 10:28

I think it's fairly usual to include your family in a big event in your life? Athletics is not like an office job, they have a very short career and it is all consuming. Their lives revolve completely around the training and competing, Mo trained in the US so was away for the majority of the time. I think it's nice that he acknowledges the difficulty his family have faced, and includes them like that. At least his kids will understand why their Dad was away all the time, and they will have some amazing memories of that part of their lives.

viques · 13/08/2017 10:29

Talking of children trackside it was a great moment when Daley Thompson suddenly spotted his sons on the screen trying to get a selfie with Mo! he sounded just as excited as any parent spotting their child, and I liked the fact that his kids, who have probably met more famous people than I have had hot dinners, wanted to share the moment.

DressedCrab · 13/08/2017 10:31

YABU and a bit mean spirited.

RatRolyPoly · 13/08/2017 10:35

I wonder how their mother entertained them between Mo's events? More people would agree with you if you were just annoyed they were there in the first place.

edwinbear · 13/08/2017 10:35

I used to work at a place that put on a Christmas party for the kids each year. Kids used to come into work, get their faces painted, meet Father Christmas, learn circus skills etc. Would that irritate you too? YABVU.

RockyBird · 13/08/2017 10:36

Eh?

Floralnomad · 13/08/2017 10:36

YABU , and a miserable moo .

MiraiDevant · 13/08/2017 10:37

Actually OP I get what you mean although love Mo and think that the ganging up on him and boxing him in by the Ethiopian pair was to say the least unsportsmanlike.

What if all the athletes brought friends/family/kids etc onto the podium?

However - most will have a different view.

And missiondecision nasty comment about bedwetting. If you knew the first thing about this medical condition and the shame and distress it causes you would not say what you said.

Girty999 · 13/08/2017 10:38

I love that his children get in the pictures
