I suppose counselling is a broader term that covers things like couples therapy, careering coaching, some elements of diet groups etc. Psychotherapy is a bit more specifically to do with psychological issues and mental illness.

How do you find a psychotherapist?

www.psychotherapy.org.uk/

or your doctor.
People have various areas of specialism, so try and find one that suits your needs.
Make sure they are properly qualified and if you don't like them or don't feel comfortable. Change. They will not be offended, it's their job

I think psychotherapy is a method, basically they sit there sileowhile the client tries to figure everything out.
Counselling is more general, some counsellors woffle on, some tilt their heads to the side and look concerned, others offer advice. It's a bit random.
Clinical psychologists have a bit more of a clue, psychiatrists have done shit loads of exams and can write prescriptions and charge 20x as much as any other mind dr
