Who pushed that woman over into the path of a bus.

What a complete and utter wanker - who the hell does that?

Thank goodness she was OK (physically at least- she'll probably be rather nervous about walking along the pavement now Sad

This is crazy. I hope they get the scumbag.

Justaboy · 08/08/2017 16:44

Did look as if she put her leg out in front of him but why was that ?,perhaps she slipped and it was a genuine accident but if so you would have thought he'd have looked back and helped her.

However that does seem to a be a dicey foot way right next to the traffic?

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 08/08/2017 16:45

I've watched this vid about 10 times. Only time her foot ever came up was after he made contact with her and she was losing her balance. He totally veered towards her.

People who excuse this twat or try to blame her might like to be shoved under a bus and see how that feels.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:46

She didn't put her leg out. He leg only went out when he pushed her.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 08/08/2017 16:47

Also one of the clips has the top part (with their heads/upper bodies) chopped off, so you can't see the moment he shoves her - on that one it could almost look like she trips him, as you see her leg go out (in falling) before you can really tell she was pushed. But if you watch other ones where you can see his arms too, you can see her leg only comes out after the shove.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:47

If the driver had momentarily looked out their side window they'd have hit her. Great reflex reaction from him or her.

DaveTheDesigner · 08/08/2017 16:48

"Not sure if it's a London thing, but it's very common in my daily life on pavements or on the tube. Loads of space to the side of me, a tiny gap on the other side and a man HAS to barge me"

It's become the norm. Drives me nuts. Trouble is you start to hold your ground to play them at their own game, but that make you as bad as them. Remember the days when this sort of scenario would result in you both doing a little side-stepping dance while both apologising? Thing of the past these days!! I reckon it's the result of all those indulgent parents telling their kids they are perfect and wonderful. The chickens coming home to rest IMO. Arseholes everywhere.

Hassled · 08/08/2017 16:48

He uses both hands to push her, doesn't he. It's not a flailing your arms in a "I'm in a hurry here" action, it's a very deliberate two-handed push. God I hope he's identified.

Figment1234 · 08/08/2017 16:48

What would a potential charge for this be? Attempted manslaughter? GBH?

There is no such thing as attempted manslaughter.. by definition manslaughter is killing without intent, so you cannot attempt it. It may only be ABH as it seems, by very good fortune, that the woman only suffered minor injuries.

picklemepopcorn · 08/08/2017 16:49

I don't think anyone wanted to excuse him or blame her. They were just trying to understand what was happening in a very grainy clip.

As a pp has said, her coat flapping confuses the image a bit.

That two handed twist/shove he does is the classic 'out of my way' manoeuvre people do.

swingofthings · 08/08/2017 16:50

I'm a runner and gosh can people be totally inconsiderate and oblivious and many times I've almost fallen because people step right in front of you, suddenly stop, or start to move in one direction then suddenly the other.

I don't agree that there should be a priority system at all. Everyone should be careful of others and act accordingly. It does mean that a jogger is going to be more careful of others, but that doesn't mean that pedestrians should be totally unaware.

This video though.... speechless. What an utter twat. She was moving out of his way, he had all the space to run away from her. It sounds like he pushed her because she didn't go up on the side, like the man before did, so that he could continue to run straight. What a complete *. He will be caught and I hope gets proper punishment.

AdaColeman · 08/08/2017 16:51

What baffles me about this case is that 15 minutes later he ran back across the bridge, and the woman tried to speak to him but he ran on.

Were the police not called immediately, they should have been there within the time span surely?
I find it hard to believe that it's not been possible to track him on camera in central London and find out where he lives.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 16:52

There is no such thing as attempted manslaughter.. by definition manslaughter is killing without intent, so you cannot attempt it.

Ah of course. Stupid of me. I know in Scotland someone can be charged with murder for 'reckless endangerment' as well as intentional killing which this could certainly be classed as. But as long as he's charged with something.

dotdotdot3 · 08/08/2017 16:55

I see the coat flapping now, as opposed to the leg lift to adjust a shoe Grin

If this ends up in court, as I hope it does, it will be a nightmare persuading everyone to 'see' the same thing.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 08/08/2017 16:56

She didn't try to trip him, imo.

Where was the camera, by the way? It's attached to a vehicle, seemingly. Perhaps its footage has only just been discovered.

Figment1234 · 08/08/2017 16:56

Agreed, he needs to be charged with something. Even ABH has a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison (I've spent far too much time procrastinating on the CPS website this week!).

January87 · 08/08/2017 16:57

She was mid step when he pushed her she did not try to trip him. Fucking hell, such victim blamers.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 08/08/2017 16:58

I guess it is on the back of another bus, seeing as it's a buslane.

That was some shove he gave her!! Totally shocking.

HotelEuphoria · 08/08/2017 16:59

I hadn't heard of this until I saw this thread. Just watched the footage, absolutely appalling, I am pretty sure he will be caught, the pictures are quite identifying to someone that knows him.

The manspace thing is absolutely real isn't it? My DM and I notice it every single Saturday when I take her out, men that walk through you as though you are invisible, stand in front of you, lean across you, sit in your space on public transport, believe they have the right to that parking space that you are waiting politely for. I also find the bigger and broader they are, the worse they are at it.

TinyRick · 08/08/2017 17:00

damn Yes. Wubbalubbadubdub ;)

We are getting into a yet a new age of men not caring about women.

Different name same old shit. It's only going to exaggerate.

AdalindSchade · 08/08/2017 17:02

Loads of people on Facebook are saying she kicked him because they are looking at a still of the video in which her coat and his leg make it look like she has her right leg cocked sideways before he pushes her. Closer scrutiny makes it obvious that it's not her leg but people like to think she brought it on herself.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 17:03

It definitely looks like she tries to kick / trip him.

It doesn't.

TinyRick · 08/08/2017 17:09

Hurryupandwait

The fact he jogged past a man in that space yet pushed the woman makes it a feminist issue.

Only person who needs to grow up is the jogger.
