Who pushed that woman over into the path of a bus.

What a complete and utter wanker - who the hell does that?

Thank goodness she was OK (physically at least- she'll probably be rather nervous about walking along the pavement now Sad

It's a London thing. When I've visited London with my kids I wish I had a pound for the number of times they've been barged out of the way, walked into, and had to dodge glassy-eyed men and women who are so intent on reaching their very important destination that all obstacles are invisible to them.

Could be a woman hater. Or could be a common London Arsehole.

pongoismyhero · 09/08/2017 06:23

Toad I imagine several people who actually live in London (i.e. me) would take massive exception to that.

honeysucklejasmine · 09/08/2017 06:29

Excellent post math

HappyAxolotl · 09/08/2017 06:39

If you fall over a loose paving stone you fall forwards in the direction of travel. If you then fall onto someone walking towards you, they fall over backwards. Watch the video that has been posted multiple times on this thread. Neither party fell over anything.

If you accidentally shoulder barge someone, they fall or stagger backwards. To knock someone completely off their feet and through the air like that, you'd have to be very heavy and going at quite a speed. Again, watch the video. The runner clearly had his hands on the woman after deliberately aiming at her. If the woman hadn't got her hands on the ground first her head could have hit the kerb at force.

The only falling over that is going on is certain people on here falling over themselves to excuse a violent man and blame his female victim. Not only did she come close to dying, if the vehicle next to the bus had been hit or swerved and hit an oncoming vehicle there could have been serious injuries or deaths there too.

Anyone got any doubts that if that had happened, there would be people blaming the woman for that too?

noeffingidea · 09/08/2017 06:48

Deliberately changing his course suggests that he isn't just a random arsehole. That indicates that he meant to hurt the woman. We have no way of knowing the exact motive at this time.

Broken11Girl · 09/08/2017 06:53

A twat runner once pushed me 'out of the way' Angry and the special part was, - run on a quiet residential street if you can't deal with other people using the same space, twat.

PenelopeFlintstone · 09/08/2017 06:53

I really hope they get him.

Crumbelina · 09/08/2017 06:58

I'll take exception to that. I don't 'visit' London, I've lived here for 35 years and commute into Central London most days. Funnily enough, my family and I don't get routinely "walked into" or "barged out of the way" and I don't make a habit of doing it to other people. Hmm

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/08/2017 07:01

This incident has really freaked me out. I have ME/CFS and 3 weeks ago, I was leaning with (hands) on my brothers car unable to move and trying not to collapse, fall over and hurt myself. He told me to do something with his car. I told him I couldn't several times and ended up saying I couldn't because I'm disabled. He shouted at me that I'm not and I responded angrily too. He stomped round and did the thing himself, heavily leaning on/over me, me whimpering to get off me as I was at risk of falling off (he's 6'2" and obese, so heavy). He then drove off with me attached to his car because he thought I was faking it and would get off his car when he moved. So I fell to the ground. This was in the street btw.

I'm having panic attacks and am now incredibly frightened of him. I had no idea he would seriously cause me harm. He did shove me to the ground a couple of years ago and has threatened me. He used to get violent with me as a child. I really was kidding myself.

I feel really vulnerable now. I wish I hadn't seen this. 😥😢

Poor woman. This man is thug. My brother is a thug.

Dailystuck71 · 09/08/2017 07:01

The video is viral and is on GMB this morning. I suspect they'll find him and he will have some sob story.

OneFlewOverTheDodosNest · 09/08/2017 07:24

Oh Mummy that sounds so frightening - I'm sorry your brother is such a twunt. I hope you're recovering from that incident.

DressedCrab · 09/08/2017 07:28

I do hope he's seriously shitting himself this morning. It can only be a matter of time before his name is known.

Fossilshavenomemory · 09/08/2017 07:57

He was wearing earphones. Was he actually on a call listening to instructions?

HipsterHunter · 09/08/2017 08:31

@mathanxiety fantastic post.

@Toadinthehole yeah your right it's totally a 'London thing'. We often purposely push other people into the paths of trains and being busses because it is SUCH FUN!

Alternatively you could, I don't know, actually watch the met video with your eyes open maybe? If that happened to your children multiple times you really need to go to the police.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 09/08/2017 08:34

*I've had joggers shout "move" at me. I swear my next set of dogs will be Rottweilers

Just so no need for that aggression! *

I'm not aggressive, I just think some dogs will be a bigger deterrent just standing there than my current teddy bears dogs.

MeanAger · 09/08/2017 08:41

@MumIsRunningAMarathon can you explain what your comment addressed to me was about please?

RolfNotRudolf · 09/08/2017 08:44

He was wearing earphones. Was he actually on a call listening to instructions?
No

Elendon · 09/08/2017 08:48

It's clear this man moved towards her and pushed her. She had the temerity to not be giving him the big space he so obviously needed.

Bastard should be done for attempted murder. He knew he knocked her down but he never stopped to check if she was okay. It was deliberate.

Ever seen the results of someone who has gone under the wheels of a bus? It's incredibly grim.

She was a very lucky woman and the bus driver deserves a medal for observance and quick thinking.

How anyone could excuse his behaviour is beyond me. Great post Math

St01c · 09/08/2017 08:49

Unbelievable. I hope the find out who he is. What a bastard.

Autumnchill · 09/08/2017 08:54

Well the general consensus of the office this morning (and MN last night) was he pushed / barged her so I will stand corrected Smile

Elendon · 09/08/2017 08:54

When I lived in London there were rumours about people being pushed as the train approached into the tube station. I was always wary and gladly took the next train to get home if necessary.

This seems to me to replicate that. Fucking frightening.

Fekko · 09/08/2017 08:59

I live in London and the worst bargers are women power walking through you and 'yoof' trying to look hard who death stare you to move out of their holy path then lean in with their shoulder - one tried to deliberately barge my then 11 year old who said 'hey mate, I'm a black belt you know...'

Hygge · 09/08/2017 09:02

HelenaDove - "Someone (an MLMer) campaigning for Corrie McKeaugue is insistent that this woman kicked the jogger."

Can I ask what an MLMer is please?

I have a family member who runs, takes it very seriously, is in clubs and does marathons and such.

He's outraged by this, says he believes the jogger aims for her and shoves her on purpose. He and his running friends are all really angry, they're saying that runners can give themselves enough of a bad name as it is without things like this (and also can be the target rather than the perpetrator to be fair, I remember a MNer talking about a man who got in her way on purpose as she was running and he made her fall) but my relative and his running group are all very firmly on the side of this poor woman and they want that man arrested.

They feel he went into her space and could have passed by her without a problem, yet he chose to cause one and could have killed her as a result.

One thing I did consider overnight was that I am partially deaf and don't always hear people coming up behind me, especially if they are on one particular side of me.

If someone running behind me decided to shout "jogger coming through" or whatever, I actually wouldn't mind that if they gave me enough warning to turn and check which side they were running at, and move for them.

I'd appreciated it just as much if I had DS or the dog with me so I could get them out of the way and not be a trip hazard to anybody. The dog is tiny, and he falls to the floor and plays dead because he thinks everything is trying to kill him.

Obviously none of that is relevant here except that there's a difference between warning someone you're approaching and yelling at someone to get out of your way. And even yelling at someone is a world apart from shoving them under a bus.

FlaviaAlbia · 09/08/2017 09:05

Brilliant post mathanxiety

mumisrunning I don't think it's that surprising she recognised him, she would have seen him coming towards her and then would have had a good view of him as he ran away. His clothes, size and hair colour and probably running gait would have been enough to identify him again.

HipsterHunter · 09/08/2017 09:07

@ChardonnaysPrettySister I meant the joggers aggression at shouting MOVE at you!
