Who pushed that woman over into the path of a bus.

What a complete and utter wanker - who the hell does that?

Thank goodness she was OK (physically at least- she'll probably be rather nervous about walking along the pavement now Sad

I once had a man squeeze tight next to me on the tube and deliberately shove his elbow into my stomach as he stood next to me.
I thought maybe he didn't realise (and was also pregnant although it wasn't showing yet), and so gently used my hands to try and move his elbow away (almost hoping he wouldn't notice). He immediately shoved his elbow back into me even harder and pressed.

I was completely shocked at the quiet maliciousness of it. It was as if he wanted to hurt me, and got some sort of weird kick out of doing it in a way where if I made a scene he could make out I was over-reacting to the usual tube-crush.

I got around it by shifting sideways so that his elbow was digging into my elbow (which was just as sharp). I didn't want to be made out to be a "hysterical woman" and could just sense he almost wanted that. We stood the rest of the way in silence, but I swear I could feel pure rage coming off of him. It's scary just how much hatred of women there is out there.

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 19:51

That's frightening Patricia. God help the woman he lives with or dates.

Mustang27 · 08/08/2017 19:52

Oh god Patricia that's horrific sounding I would have been really upset by that and not sure I'd be overly keen on using the tube again.

People baffle me.

Pawpainting · 08/08/2017 19:54

Wonder if it turns out like one of those Facebook videos.... where looking at it from one perspective it looks like this..... but completely different from another perspective/angle/shot

But you can see him reach out and forcefully push her with his arms, and the police have said he did this. What could another angle possibly reveal to make it less deliberate?

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 08/08/2017 20:01

No wonder men get away with this shit, some people are falling over themselves to excuse it. Couldn't possibly be, gasp, male violence. Even though the thread is full of people who have experienced it first hand, nah.

The MET footage is much clearer.

He clearly pushes her. In fact in that I think I can see her manage, and god knows how, to somehow use her arms on the edge of pavement and almost push her upper half back up after the bus nearly hit her.

Of course they haven't released it without forensically looking at it and being sure of what happened ffs. That might be why it took so long? Might be queue for that resource perhaps?

HipsterHunter · 08/08/2017 20:05

Quite a bit of the victim blaming ive seen on twitter is coming from women.

Like a PP says do you think is has something to do with woken being like "LA LA LA this can NOT happen to me because that woman must have done something wrong to deserve it so I AM TOTALLY SAFE la la la"

HipsterHunter · 08/08/2017 20:07

I've seen a fair few people on people collisions.

I've seen them where people appologise to each other. I've seen them where the aggressor turns round and is like "watch it bozo". I've never seen someone just pretend they haven't pushed someone into the path of a bus.

There is no way this was an accident, a misjudgment or an attempt at avoiding collision.

He changes path deliberately, she is no where near his running line and pushes the woman with his hand outstretched.

HelenaDove · 08/08/2017 20:13

Hipster i agree.

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2017 20:14

That is so awful

He veers towards her. wtf!

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 08/08/2017 20:15

Emma is correct, much clearer. It actually seems he hits her, she was in his path before he gets to her then she moves to the side to allow him to continue and he bloody crosses towards her and hits her. That is what I see.

news.met.police.uk/videos/putney-bridge-cctv-30029

For all the people anywhere saying it was an accident, he would have stopped if it was an accident BUT clearly it was deliberate. He did not go near the man that passed him though, the coward.

EmpressoftheMundane · 08/08/2017 20:15

The woman is completely innocent. The man was violent and completely unprovoked.

Her leg goes out as she is falling.

A lot of apologists here for a psychopath.

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 08/08/2017 20:17

^ This exactly. She must have 'had it coming'' or ''surely it was an accident' WHY? Is it SO hard to believe he is just an utter cunt?

PelorusJack · 08/08/2017 20:21

I'm presuming the police have more information such as the woman saying she was shoved but if I were going just by the video I'd be agreeing with AuntumnChill. It looks like they both were on a collision course and he reacted at the last moment to her stumbling. To me it looks like he puts his arms out AFTER she has started falling. I don't see a 'shove'. I watched the independent video loads of times.

As I CLEARLY said before I get the snidey Hmm victim blaming type comments, I'm sure the police have more information than I have and I'm sure they have the capabilities to study the video properly. I'm just saying how the video looks to me.

thepumpk1neater · 08/08/2017 20:21

That second clip, posted by fluffy. You can see he moves across to push her I think!

ClamBakeSnake · 08/08/2017 20:25

Yes it as clear as day from that clip that he runs across to her side of the footpath in order to shove her.

No doubt when he's caught he will claim he was under stress due to his marriage having broken down, or some shit like that, but he's plagued with guilt and has several character references which state he is an upstanding member of the community. Blah de fucking blah.

thepumpk1neater · 08/08/2017 20:28

He moves back to the other side again after the push!

BabsGanoush · 08/08/2017 20:28

I did wonder at one point whether he was a hitman (sorry if this is discussed above). He seemed to target her having ignored the first male pedestrian. Literally a push-and-run.

If you watch the slow motion version of the footage you can see that he turns his head and looks at the male pedestrian as he passes him. Not sure if that is relevant, maybe only to prove he was alert to his surroundings, wasn't running with his eyes closed etc.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/08/2017 20:33

Is he carrying a coffee in his right hand?? It looks like that a bit ont he bbc footage Confused

EmpressoftheMundane · 08/08/2017 20:34

If the poor guy was just trying to avoid a collision, why did he keep jogging as she fell over?
We did he ignore her as he jogged back around?

I can't believe that so many people can watch the video and make excuses for this violent, dangerous man who randomly attacked a women and almost killed her.
