AIBU to think of not tipping removals?

They arrived 3.5 hours late. I met them at the door and showed them in - they barely acknowledged me but introduced themselves to my husband and shook his hand. They were a bit funny we hadn't dismantled the bed even though that's part of the service we are paying for. They are being quick now though.

I know I'm being unreasonable to consider not tipping at all but come on, 3.5 hours late?? How much should we give?

To be honest, I wouldn't tip as they earn more than I do and especially if they were late! I have tipped once before because they were amazing, only two of them and gave a tenner each (back when I had more money!)

I wouldn't tip pay them for their services but nothing extra, over 3 hours late is ridiculous

If they can't be bothered to turn up on time or acknowledge the person holding the purse strings, the rest of the service would need to be amazing to warrant a tip! It's hard work and irregular, but you will still be paying them. Tips are for good service.

Don't tip them; we tipped ours because they were great, on time, polite, efficient and careful but if they'd been that late we wouldn't have. It's not like you'll use them again when they've been so late.

When they shook my husbands hand I said "oh I didn't get a handshake!" And shook their hands and they kind of awkwardly laughed and I said "I guess we only like men around here" in a jokey-but-not kind of way.
